Once you break the umbilical cord with Celtic it is never quite the same again for a player. Because we are much more than just a club, we are a close knit family. I would never close the door on a Celtic player wanting to return to the family

    from the article -

"I accepted the offer because Fiorentina are an important club and I wanted a change after so many years at Celtic but it is difficult to say whether I made the right choice," Boruc concluded bluntly.

My point was more to the fact that so many leave celtic thinking they will go onto better things then regret it.

Boruc was idolised here and i think he'll miss that

Always welcome back if you ask me, doubt it'll happen but. Thought at the time it was a barmy decision to go there when they already have an established no. 1

He wouldn't leave for a change then want to come back a few months down the line, it won't happen.

He left looking for change. We won't ever see him back as a player. I see him going to another Italian, Spanish or German club eventually maybe, but not back to Celtic. Not as a player anyway. Would love to be wrong, but don't think I am.

He won't be back as a player. He may be back as a bunny rabbit, but not as a player.

Nothing wrong with wanting him back, but remember it's only because of our current Gk'ing situation. We just need to crack on with the season and he will be remembered but forgotten about if you get my drift.

Nothing wrong with checking on him and thinking about it, but is it realistic, and it probs was time to part ways. Lets focus on us and not get sidetracked too much.

I would do anything to get him back. Absolute hero and I am really missing him. It's * seeing Zaluska or Forster between the sticks after the good times watching Artur. :54:

got to admit I really miss him. I didnt think I would but I do. Even the declined Artur is a lot better than Zaluska. I thought Zaluska was better than he has turned out to be. I would take Artur back, would even pay a couple of million, although I would put a max permitted weight into his contract:icon_mrgreen:.

Just seen this thread. He should never have been allowed to leave. I could go on all night with the reasons why. Disgrace in my mind

A million time yes! I agree with Big JS,he should never have been allowed to leave, especially for little over a million! Ive always had my doubts to wither zaluska was good enough be celtic number 1,as a backup you couldnt get much better but i think the pressure of being in the starting 11 every game gets to him and affects his confidence.

Boruc is World class as is given and if there is any chance of getting either of these guys at cp again in January lennon should be looking into it weather it be on loan or a permanent transfer as they would improve the side.

Agree completely. Disgrace is the only word to describe Boruc's departure.

After so many years of shambolic keepers making blunders that cost us titles (RAB DOUGLAS) , you would think we would have learned our lesson and did everything to keep a world class one that is Boruc.

What is even more shocking is the way the fans reacted to him leaving with the words ''it was time for him to leave'' being adopted by what seemed to be the majority of the Celtic support?

Why was it time for him to leave? Because he was the player in the squad that loved Celtic the most? Because he was about to enter the peak performance years of his career? Is that the fans reasons?

I know the boards reasons would have been he wanted a few extra thousand in wages so get him to * because we have a unproven keeper like Zaluska in waiting who naive Celtic fans think was worthy enough to be his successor which I said all along was nowhere near the case.

Now we are stuck with *' Forster, a third choice keeper punted by a team just recently out of the championship. Absolute joke. Mark my words, celtic's goalkeeping options or lack of will be the result of many big losses this season, and very much possibly the league itself.

Every top player has a shelf life . Its just part and parcel of football. Boruc had sum great years with us but players move on .. and the club moves on.

Dont get me wrong .. would love the big man between the sticks again here at celtic in the future but hes a professional footballer and needed a new experience . I dont believe the board are to blame for not trying to keep him. Thats an easy way to pass the buck. It was Boruc's decision.
