that is why we should have won the last two leagues to bankrupt them and put them down the gutter where they belong and then when they are gone we will be welcomed wiith open arms into a new league set up but for as long as they exist we will be referred to as partners in crime "the old firm"

To say 60 fans where ejected can be found out quite easily if it is a false statement.

The fact that smoke bombs where lit off from our end of the ground can not be defended no matter who the press think it is.

It was an act of stupidity which will cost Albion Rovers a little more on expenses and I just hope our club foots the bill when it comes in.

The article has gone a little over board with bringing into the equation Jock Stein, and putting an astrix in the middle of IRA is laughable.

This article is so laughably transparent in its timing.

Regular as clockwork, whenever there's a big media story about Rangers fans disgracing Scottish football, the laptop loyal will fabricate some story about some Celtic fans misbehaving somewhere.

You could set your watch by it.

A few GB'rs have been on KDS posting about this, apparently the GB weren't represented at the game, they were painting a banner at the time, however a few of the 'young team' were there in there own right.

BTW the over-reaction to this on KDS is as laughable as that article (very loose use of the term article)

Question. Who or how the * did a paper get these comments from KDS forum from?
I'm in agreement that this article is almost certainly bollocks. But if any flares/smokebombs went off it is pure stupid as has been said it is illegal and shouldn't go on at any ground, any meaningless or important game in Scotland. Not like it's not happend before.
But going by this particular story it does seem like a total load of monkey stains

I'm happy that the worse celtic fans can do is set off some smoke bombs to make the papers, actually relieved thats all they have to write is about teenagers having fun

Rather that than 50,000 fans singing about child abuse or waddling about in catholic blood

Nobody was 'ejected by police' from the stadium, the young lads who were at the game walked out after the treatment received from the police and stewards. There were also normal supporters in the stadium who left after witnessing the treatment they were recieving. Nothing more than police/stewards trying to act all big and heroic because its young lads.

Typical media taking a small talking point of a game of football and making it a major thing. Don't know why people bother with it.

I was at this game and when the group of fans that were singing lit off the 1st flare they got warned if they done it again they would get throwin out and they procceded in lighting others and so the police ejected from the stadium and for the songs they were singing it was relationed to the IRA aswell.

I hope the club will step in and help albion out with the Bill on a fake call out to the stadium.

This group add to the atmosphere at Celtic Park, but when they assemble at away games they appear to think that they have licence to do whatever they want. Whoever organises them, should reign their more outrageous behaviours in, and prevent them from bringing more criticism to the club.
