Well, Lee Naylor on his day is a good player and will be good enough for the SPL. Only he may not cut it in the champion's league. I think he'd been at wolves too long and went stale but I think he is dependable and does the simple things well. I am sure celtic fans will take to him.Average pace.

    Naylor on his way.

celtic and wolves have agreed a fee of £600k for left back Naylor .. with charlie mulgrew going in the opposite direction on loan ... thoughts ?

my initiall thoughts on naylor is maybe hes not the big name left - back we all were hoping for .. but who knows how he will play for us.. at least telfer wont be playing anymore... and that makes me happy.. im confident on this guy doing a job in the spl at least.. he has played a lot of top flight games etc... albeit for wolves.. but im hoping he does a job for us big time as that would sort out the left side..

Am I right that saying Naylor is in his final year of contract? If he is 600k is quite alot of money for him aswell as Mulgrew, mind you I think he will relish the chance to play for Wolves for a season.

another mediocre player...swapping him for mulgrew and paying £600k for the privelidge is a * poor deal in my book....you think he ll be ready for the champions league?....the huns must be laughing their heads off!

or it might not, give the guy a chance to at least do his first warm up in a celtic shirt before you start crucifying him!!
also unless he gets injured and big mick mcmanus establishes himself in that position before he makes his debut he'll probably get a run in the team.

    Naylor is a left-back and McManus is a centre-back m8

ye i was referring to what happened to virgo tho since he said that naylor was going to be "another virgo." by the time virgo was fit mcmanus had established himself as baldes defensive partner which is i feel the job virgo was brought in to do

It's because Strachan fell out with Mulgrew.

I don't rate Naylor AT ALL, there are better left backs in the SPL but someone made a good point that this will at least get rid of Telfer.

    Wilson - Balde - McManus - Naylor

It's better than what we have now.
