Open days are also a good excuse for a day off school. :icon_mrgreen:

 

in a lot of my classes today we couldnt do a lot of work cause all the 6th years were away at the open day, just watched videos.

 

and precisely that...

 

try and make sure you find a course you can stick with! I did law and dropped after 1st year because i hated it that much! If your thinking of going to a uni in a city you haven't been before then try to get down during one of the university opening days!

 

I see you did French @ Higher. My only advice is, only do French & Spanish or the like at uni if you REALLY love it! I'm doing it right now, and I liked it at school, but Jesus, it's unbearable. But then again, I detest where I am studying! Which leads on to...

My other tip - Don't go to St Andrews unless your minted. A pint is like 4 quid. FOUR QUID. I nearly cried myself onto the floor last year! £1.50 in the union makes up for it though...

You have to be able to bear with a barrel load of complete numbskulls too, mind.

Edit: Mind you, on the plus side, you get a lot of time off. More time for drinking and stuff, in my case!

 

Im in my second year of doing Police and Criminal Investigation at UCLAN.

Its a pretty interesting course.
