Totally disagree - Barry is overrated (Petrov/Naka/Jarosik * all over him), Mellberg is old and dodgy , everyone knows Baros is average at best though considering we have Miller he probably would get a game for us and Laursen is a crock past his best. Seriously none of these players would have an easy time at Celtic.
By the way on Barry - 26 goals in 314 appearences is terrible for a "goalscoring" midfielder.
Also my point on Baros was that we have strikers already too similar for him. We ar ein the market for a big targetman not another Magic.

They would more likely walk into a door..

I might have a look at Davis but the rest are damaged goods

I would guess Everton were founded since he has Tim Cahill in his sig

Gareth Barry can play left back, Centre back, Mid Left and Mid Centre he is very good in all of those positions so yeah i think he would get into the Celtic team easily especially since we're signnig the likes of Mo Camara and Adam Virgo for these positions.

Mellberg is a good international defender, Its no secret that Celtics defence isnt the strongest. The only down point is he is a bit old.

Baros top goalscorer in Euro 2004 enough said

Laursen he's a former AC Milan defender he used to play along side the likes of Nesta and Stam, but yeah i would rather have player like Gary Caldwell who used to play along side Antonio Murray and Ian Murray.

He's not slagging us he's telling us his opinion and he has a point, If you think Celtic is too good to take Villa players your much mistaken considering we were supposedly trying to get a Huddersfield player, Brighton player last season, A Player Burnley sacked, Southampton reject.

For the money we'd have to paid and the wages they'd expect to be on, they wouldn't be worth it. e.g. Paying for the reputation of a player that failed at AC Milan.

It wasnt about wages it was about players that would get into the team as someone said No Villa player would get into the Celtic team, When Youve got Stam and Nesta in your team of course your not going to get into the team, doesnt make you a failure

Barry usually plays left back or left wing. He's a cut above any left back at the club. Certainly wouldn't play him ahead of Stan, Jarosik or Nakamura but he's not really a centre mid anyway- just emergency cover for that position.

Mellberg is an international captain and a good player, would definitely get a game ahead of the likes of Bobo and varga as would Laursen if he could stay fit for 5mins so maybe I'll give you that one.

I know the team could do with a target man but Baros would still get a game regardless

And yeah, Everton were founded in 1878 :50:

Angel is a dud and Baros is not the type we need. Totally disagree about Mellberg tho, he's not the classiest centre half in the game but is still better than anything we have at the club right now.

if there was a younger kevin phillips out there he would be good for the side because of his quick descisions. he is a striker which plays from midfield. he is also good for the last 15-20 mins of game.
