Neil Lennon - Humble Pie from me

I have to admit that I had dismissed his potential over the past few months, however he has now come up trumps big style!

Well done Neil and keep it up!

We haven't won anything yet but were in a good position so credit to Lenny, i feel more confident about our chances because we have won some big games recently and the team looks to be taking shape :50:

I always stuck with him but could I just point out that less than a month ago we were calling the situation a crisis and asking him to be sacked. This has been a great month but the next is even more important. We could easily be out of the Scottish Cup and a few points behind in the league by the time March comes calling. Judge Lennon at the end of the season and then say sorry for ever doubting him.

too early for humble pie. A month ago a huge amount of fans had pretty well concluded Lenny wasnt up to the job. A month later he is a hero. That football. Lets see how it is in a months time and a month after that.

That pretty well sums it up. Over the last month he has won the crunch games and we look like we have a solid structure to the team. Before one month ago Lenny had lost every game where something rested on a single game, out team shape was all wrong and we were very close to bowing it right up to the OF game. Its a big improvement but its been brief, only 4 weeks.

Im the happiest ive been as a Celtic fan for 7 years :50:

Can't wait to go to games and enjoying it.

O'Neill's last season without Larsson was a struggle, Strachans 4 seasons, 2 were too easy, the other two were mind numbing and under Mowbray it went from * to shiter by the week.

With Lennon, we've got the good team, we're winning 31 games out of 40 is the best we could want, we're playing good football, theres better atmosphere at the games. Theres players in the team you love to see again.

    Well done Lenny :celt_2:

Main thing under Lenny though is the confidence has returned, the confidence of knowing your a good team and knowing your the best in Scotland also think we'll be back to wiining most home European games. And by winning them I dont mean scraping wins at the death like Strachan but actually playing well and winning like with O'Neill.

The 1 issue I had (and still have) is tactical naivety.

He blew it away against the huns in the bigotdome right enough when he pulled off an absolute blinder but I think he's still learning and he would tell you that himself.

I thought he would do well, and he hasn't proven me wrong. We are not the type of club to change managers all of the time, and the turn-over reccently is too high, so lets get behind him, he will get better and better as he learns his trade.

You know what folk are like on here man - month's time he'll be *, two months & he'll be a managerial legend. :56:

But I already have to apologise to him a wee bit. I suspected he'd be all hash-&-bash, diggety-dig and outmuscle 'em, but it's already clear thats not the case. So his heart is in the right place at least...

And I dream of a future day when he's being interviewed after winning the treble -

    Q. Neil, congratulations, you've come a long way. What do you feel you've learned in your first year of management?
    N. Well you learn a lot y'know - about the game, about the squad, about yourself.
    Q. But if you had to pick one thing, one footballing life-lesson that you've truly absorbed on a deep level?
    N. Well, Scott Brown is * shoite.

Break oot the champagne and the illegal Chinese fireworks. :56:

Completely agree, there was threads on here not too long ago calling for him to be sacked. Fans have to be patient, he's done an immense job with no managerial experience. The players hes brought in have been top notch (ok, maybe apart from Murphy) but I really believe in Lenny. He has hunger, passion and is part of the Celtic family.
