Thomas Gravesen has revealed he has agreed a deal with Celtic.
Celtic's move for Real Madrid ace Gravesen was cast in doubt on Tuesday when the player left Glasgow without signing a contract.
Gravesen left Scotland to return to Copenhagen on Tuesday to link up with his international team-mates ahead of this weekend's Euro 2008 qualifier.
Celtic agreed a £2 million deal with Real earlier this week and Gravesen held talks and underwent a medical at Parkhead.
Some reports had suggested that the deal was in the balance, but the former Everton star has admitted he has reached an agreement with Bhoys boss Gordon Strachan.
"I can only say Gordon Strachan, John Sivebaek (Gravesen's agent) and myself have come to an agreement and we are going to release a statement tomorrow," Gravesen told the Daily Record. Gravesen is expected to sign a three-year deal at Celtic and his arrival could pave the way for Stilian Petrov to join Aston Villa.

I have to say though, that I thought he was a right w@nker last night when he chucked that lads Celtic scarf back at him. There was no need for that. Looks a right moody *.
And if the reports are true about the £45k a week, that's more than Larsson was getting. Overrated? I think so.

I would have thought the Celtic Website would have broken the news first, they havent.

I think they are trying to pre-empt the signing

The media are a pain in the *. Sky is saying that Gravesen will sign but the Petrov deal is off coz of his wage demands. Yet the BBC are saying that the Gravesen deal is off but Petrov is virtually a Villa player.
Then you have the Daily Rangers talking utter pish about everything.

Gravesen set to sign for Celtic

[IMG] Thomas Gravesen arrives at a Glasgow hospital on Monday

Real Madrid midfielder Thomas Gravesen is poised to clarify his future on Wednesday afternoon but is expected to confirm his £2m transfer to Celtic.
The 30-year-old left Glasgow on Tuesday without signing after two days of talks and a medical.
It prompted claims that Celtic were concerned about an old knee injury.
But Gravesen's agent, John Sivebaek, told BBC Sport on Wednesday: "We will be issuing a statement in three or four hours. I have no more to say."
Celtic reportedly remain confident of completing the deal, although Gravesen has revealed four English Premiership clubs - Newcastle, Bolton, Everton and Middlesbrough - were interested in his signature.
It had been thought that personal terms and a £2m transfer fee had been agreed, but Celtic now say "talks are ongoing".
Gravesen left Glasgow to join the Denmark international squad on Tuesday without a decision on his future being announced.

If Celtic get him to come here, he would make a huge impact

    Celtic youth coach Tommy Burns

The Dane left Everton for Spain in a £2.5m deal in January 2005 and had been made available for a £2m fee.
He hopes to have a new club before Thursday's transfer deadline and Denmark's opening match of the Euro 2008 qualifying campaign.
They are due to play an international friendly against Portugal on Friday before they start on the road to Euro 2008 away to Iceland on 6 September.
The Danish squad was to assemble on Sunday, but national coach Morten Olsen gave Gravesen time off to secure a new club.
Former Celtic player Tommy Burns, now head of youth development, believes Gravesen would be a great signing.
"He has got a great pedigree," Burns said.
"He played in the English Premiership and made a big impact there.
"He went to Real Madrid and maybe didn't make so much of an impact there because they obviously have so many top players. "But I don't think there is any doubt that, if Celtic get him to come here, he would make a huge impact." Meanwhile, sources suggest that Newcastle's interest in Gravesen has cooled

It looks like we have him. Hopefully Celtic were just being very cautious with that knee and its not a real cause for concern.

He just told the guy to wait, until the deal was done..

IF things went wrong (he knew there was problems at the time) - and he signed for Newcastle instead, it would be pretty bad seeing pictures of him with a Celtic scarf..

maloney is a fantastic player, but no way would i play him instead of mcgeady. aiden is the most talented player celtic have had in many years, he needs a full season at celtic to fulfill his potential.

instead i'd have maloney up front with big jan rather than magic.

he's a greedy wee * and his final ball is usually pish. until he learns to pass the ball at the right time maloney will get picked ahead of him.

magic is class and has to play alongside jan the man - shaun's not a striker
