This is exactly what i think as well, he'll simply outpace and bully defenders to and off the ball, he'd also get a lot of assists from crosses and he'd score a few goals getting in at the back post :50:

I would keep Fortune for another season he has been outstanding so far in our friendlys and Braga then our first game so lets give him a chance on the wing

actually quite like fortune, has good strength and is one of the better footballers we have at the moment IMO. needs to convert a lot more of his chances though. if he should go for 3 mill we should get kamara back in, think he is a lot better than MAF and would score more, frightening pace aswell...

    lol.

I agree though we shoudn't be losing money on a player we bought a year ago.

Not enough! I'd rather he stays if he can continue to perform the way he has of late.

That would be an incredible price for him. Mogga may have been mental enough to pay that for an old non-scoring striker but he is really a 2-3 millon quid player (Sammy does the same thing is far younger and cost about a third of what MAF cost)

I would take 3 million, go and get a striker that actually knows how to score goals, Fortune know how to miss sitters!!

    Bye :bbpd:

Neil Lennon will not sell Marc Antoine-Fortune but if we were to get £3 million for him I would sell and use the money to buy James McFadden from Birmingham City. Then my formation would be 4-1-3-2 which would allow the 2 full backs to get forward and provide service for the 2 strikers and the holding midfielder to help out the defence.

I agree with this. Fortune is a very unusual and muscle bound winger, and he has a knack of popping them in against Rangers, and with Rasmussen off on loan, we will definitely need him for the battering ram role to upset and unsettle hard defences. Something similar to the role BBJ played so superbly for us.

He has been good on the wing but I also noticed towards the back end of last season he is really good with his back to goal, defenders cant get the ball off him. He is not a clinical finisher but comes out with the odd screamer. Definitely worth keeping.

a think he,s a cracking player, comes deep, looks for the ball and pretty strong in posession, where sammy forgets when to pass,or if he has learned that part of the game yet
