this thread is laughable. the same players more or less had a great game last week and beat utrecht and could and probably should have scored more. its the football side of things that have let us down badly tonight and the manager has to take some of the blame and for me even more so the players have to take responsibility. its been said already, the board have gave Celtic managers funds beyond the wildest dreams of the rest of Scotland. We have brought in quality and for one reason or eleven tonight it was totally wrong. Sack the board? get realistic

    * sake here we go, this is an absolute joke of a thread.
Over £10m has been spent on the team and still you are not happy.
How about you try attracting some big names to the * Scottish League before you start greetin about the board? :31:

To a lot of players in Eastern Europe, Mexico, the United States, and even parts of South America, it is a huge step up. Even some ageing players in England would come here, for the right money.

Immortal is right. If theres no title this year, theres going to be * to pay! Board included!

Those of you saying that we don't have a right to be angry are the ones who need to get a grip. What is the point in complacency with this? Maybe I can't change anything, but I do have a right to my anger.

I think we should pull out of the SPL, sack everyone the club employs and just cease to exist.

Exaggerating? Not much more than the crazy exaggerations made by people on here. 6 hours ago everyone was happy, excited at the season ahead, and content with the board's investment in the team. Fast forward 6 hours and the League title is out of our reach, we aren't spending enough and the board is needing sacked. Football fans are so fickle, it was only a few hours ago people were saying that the players we have brought in are good enough to reach the Europa League final, now everyone may as well give up because the team is *?. Get a grip and grow up people.

Everyone was * their pants about 3 hours ago over the team, 1 disappointing game yes, but look at the players before you look at the board surely. The board are always the scape goat.

why are certain parts immune to criticism? not everyone says sack the board, give us 100 mio to spend..

fact is, we haven't won the league in the past 2 years. not good enough for celtic, considering our budget and the state the huns are in. they don't have those fancy players like in the 90s anymore.

also the board appointed a rookie as manager. even though a 3rd defeat in a row would break our backbone and pride completely. Lennon can be a success - but also a failure too. 50:50.

When a team like Celtic manages to lose the league twice then something is wrong. worst case: a 3rd time would be a total disaster. if a player has a day off, he will give a goal away and may cost a game. but 3 seasons would be way more than an individual error. Players - Manager and Staff - Board - even the * greenkeeper have to be questioned. they all have made mistakes, otherwise that worst case scenario couldn't take place at all.

more than that has been brought in over the past 12 months for the sale of outgoing players. you can't say we're ungrateful after a performance like that. the OP is right, what is the * plan here?

I was one of the ones back in February saying give the board and Mogga another chance. For whatever reason, this sent me and many other people over the edge.

This was more than just any other game. This was a very IMPORTANT game. We needed to win, and we still didn't have a team good enough to put us through to the Europa league. I am sure Neil Lennon is raging right now. So are we. I just can't see how anyone could fault us for that. I think we should be.

When I earn my time off later this year, I am going to fly back to Scotland to see another game at Parkhead. Will set me back almost a month's pay. We're not giving up on Celtic, we're just mad.

A lot of this is the board's fault, the way I see it, it goes clear back to when WGS was in charge, and the board was demanding that we sell the Bhoys from Seville, to cut the wage bill. It wasn't WGS's fault that all he could afford was *, it was the board's.

Oh well. Do I think we are really going to sack the board? No. Do I think we should be angry with them at this point? Yes. That's all.

    where's the mcmanus money?
    where's the robson money?
    where's the boruc money?
    where's the fox money?

we signed what 2 players in the january window and the rest were loans? so i don't want to hear how its neutral to spend 10mil and sell on aiden for 10mil. there's money left over, where's the * striker, where's the * CB, where's the * keeper? bring back the thunder? FFS

yay lets sack the board and replace it with what? ffs get real now is the time to be realistic and just concentrate on the league get the win and worry about next season, I think lennon is a good man

and he is learning all the time and believe he will be a sucsess I for one never thought this season was going to be anything more than win the league and anything else is a bonus yes we have splashed out over 10 mil on players, but you just need to look south to man c you cant buy your way there it needs a good man and players who believe in that man and the people behind him,

we all feel the club is run more like a plc than a football club and its all about balancing the books but at the end of the day would you rather be the tortoise or the ibrox hare good things come to all who wait

let the * an moaning begin. once the team losses half this chat room jumps on the team. bravo!!! way to support your team. if you're a supporter of the club , do exactually that, and support. teams go through thick and thin. and we have to be there along with their highs and the lows. or at least try and grab some positives from this poor result. i.e. like now we can focus of the winning the league.

We have not spent 10 million pounds that figure is farcical, do not accept reported figures as accurate.
Out Boruc, McManus, Naylor, O'Dea, Caddis, Sheridan, Ferry, Zhi.
From Outgoings celtic have collected in Almost 5 Million pounds with a lot of wages saved.

In, Juarez 2 mill not 4, Ledley - free, Kayal 1 mill, Murphy -1 mill, Izaguirre - 500k, Mastorovich - free, Cha - free, Hooper - 2 mill, Barely 6-7 mill spent with 4-5 mill in, thats a net spend of roughly 2-3 million why is this figure of 10 mill being banded around its just wrong! I haven't even added in McGeady's 10 million which means we have profited over 6 million pounds in the transfer market.
Get your facts right before you start spouting off wrong figures.

The board don't inspire me with confidence but they aint the problem. Financially we are well managed which is a good thing but on the other hand they do seem to have tight purse strings and only seem to allow certain budgets on a single player. We will never attract decent players unless we up the bids.Getting all these free transfers and loans is not a long term solution.

On top of that the spl looks like a 3rd rate league these days. Long gone are the days of attracting the likes of Sutton and Hartson. We need to be realistic about who we can get.
