It is the way we play in Europe that is the problem. We can't put it down to stage fright for all the loses as we have had a different team each time from the last 3 years.

The only thing that hasn't changed with all the defeats is the way we change our game when we play away from home. Maybe that is the problem.

Can you imagine us trying these tactics against Dundee Utd or Hearts away; we would end up with the same result as last night.

I said just like many more about having to go over there in the frame of mind to score first and I don’t think we had that frame of mind.

Sad day to be a Tim today........

Anyway i for one dont understand this, simailar team since saturdays game and by * we were *.
a 50 mill striker in that team would have been useless last night, shocking performance and again the laughing stock of scotland

i for one am happy as our homes games will be on a saturday now and need to buck the ideas up

The opportunity was there to put them away in the second 45 of the first leg but we took our feet of the gas, taking a 2-0 lead away in europe would be more than enough for most teams but not for us.We have a * of a habit of losing early goals and putting ourselves firmly on the back foot, they obviously done there homework and knew they could take us on there home patch, they battered us and deserved to go through, they aint no Inverness or St mirren.

I'm not saying I won't be going to parkhead but I think they done a good job of losing 10k seats at parkhead last night.

I Don't know what some of you people are talking about here...You saying that Utrecht was terrific last night ? Give me a break...Every average team in Europe would get a win on them. *, I Can't even see that Utrecht would get a win over Rangers really.
Disgrace ! And stop all this bullshit that It's only one game...So what ? Braga doesn't count or what ?
Hearts would beat us 4-0 yesterday if they were our opponents. ! That's how good we were !
I can really see the thunder in our team....LOL.

Yeah mate it is good for you:50:

It's also good for the travelling Irish support cause they will be able to come over now for Saturday games(which in itself will generate ticket sales).

No doubt utrecht played out their skins last night but they were greatly encouraged by our soccer suicide !! You cant make bonehead plays like we did last night and hope to compete with even average european teams , how friggen easy did we make it for them with our schoolboy defending ?It wasnt well worked goals it was just lack of basic defending thats the real sickening thing about the performance !!

I couldn't watch the game because there were no good streams, and I had to eat. Good thing I've missed it, it seems. I just don't get it, how can we play so bad after we've done such a nice work in the first game? Come on, it was mainly the same team...

You know, I watched the first half, and up until the point they score their 4th. I was angry, and I was pretty gutted too, but I feel that turning the back on the team will do nothing. They'll be feeling like * too, no doubt. Lennon will have gone through them for their poor performance, no doubt. But if we turn our backs on them now, it's going to end up like Nightmare on Kerrydale Street II: The return of Tony Mowbray (With a ginger do.)

A lot will disagree with me, but I'm going to look at this as a blip, forget about it, and go back to supporting them in all Scottish competitions.

The whole team, bar mccourt when he came on and maybe kayal played appalling, but somehow the blame always seems to fall on the scapegoats samaras and fortune and sometimes brown. If i was one of them reading one some "fans" wrote on here about them i would play * as well.

I missed the game, was at Chillingham castle, could not get a reception on phone, put teletext on and saw the headlines 'Lennon takes blame for euro exit' my heart just sank, no * europe for us, how can we not defend a 2-0 head start???

I can't make judgements because I missed the game, who's fault was it? were the penas soft?

This just simply is not good enough, what now for us?

    :31::31::31:

Thought after last Sunday's game we were making steady progress, one step forward and two steps back :47:

The SPL, that has been our priority. We still have 3 competitions we can win, we didnt stand a chance in Europe. So we can still win the treble. Thats whats for us now.

    Great!

    Hello Bhoys,

Ive had the time of my life last night. Utrecht played like in the old days. Full of passion. The stadium exploded and it was a long time Ive seen that happened.

Im not here to put salt in open wounds, but to tell you all that Celtic has great supporters. Although they didnt sing because of the score, you still supported your team. Most visitors with a 4-0 score against their team would start rioting, but you all didn't. It was great to see. I really hope Celtic will get their heads up again to see them win prices again. Although Im affraid the coach needs a lot of work to do to be honest.

Thanks for two great matches. In Glasgow I felt welcome, I hope those of you who were in Utrecht or Amsterdam last night felt welcome too.

Good luck and hopefully till next time!
