    Call it frustration, hardly anger.

So you cast judgement on a player after 1 game and think that it's a fair assessment of his overall capabilities. I'm not sure if you're employed or not but I hope your gaffer is slightly more open in his assessing your abilities than you are of Murphy.

Why do you think only 12yr olds read threads on here?

Seemed like you were angry going by the smilies you used but if you say you were only fustrated then fair enough.

I'm not suggesting one game is enough to give a fair assessment of his overall qualities, rather that my opinion is that for £1.5 million quid, he isn't a good signing.

To be honest, I had that opinion before he even played a game. Given his track record, particularly in terms of goals per game I don't think he is a good signing.

I am not writing off his full career - surley we are entitled to be happy with some signings and unhappy with others, based on the player's past record?

I don't think that only 12 year olds read the forum. I am suggesting that only a player with the mentality of a 12 year old would be upset by something they read about themself on a fan's forum.

Yeah I think Lenny has played a blinder in signings mainly but Mulgrew and Murphy look like brainstorms.

I agree with this man. Far too hasty to judge.

Larsson's debut he gave away the ball which led to an opposition to score, did you judge him that fast?

Debuts mean nothing, its just their first game, in a completly new team, give him a chance.

Wouldn't mind maybe seeig Murphy play as a target man, he certainly has the height for it. Especially since we are signing Stokes and have Hooper. Get the good ol fashioned little and large partnership

Why? Because it upsets you or because its a fair point?

Hes a poor signing? How many games has he played for us?

It's not like he looks like a good player who just needs to gel - he looks * rotten. There is a key difference there.

I have seen Murphy numerous times in his career and always thought he looks rubbish.

I have a opinion of Murphy formed long before he signed for Celtic, and going by that I think he is a waste of money.

Anyway, why should I have to wait for him to play more games before judging him when I have seen him play loads of times. I'll also say that any more than £1m for Stokes is a waste of money, and that is before he signs, never mind plays 1 game.

Do you even read other people's posts?

He clearly said 'from what ive seen of him at sunderland and celtic' - so how is that from only 1 game?

Well you are entitled to think that, just as I am entitled to think that he is *.

This is not a dig, but were you there yesterday?

Sometimes on TV, you don't get to fully see just how slow a player is, how bad his positioning is and poor a player looks.

By the same token, you also don't appreciate how good players are on the TV either.

.....So because i wasnt there i cannot judge a player.

I have never been to see Messi play in the flesh but i know he is a good player.

Im not going to judge him on his speed, im judging him on his ability to hit the back of the net.

Murphy has scored one penalty. You're talking like he's been scoring on a regular basis. He may well go on to to so, and I hope he does, but he's got a long way to go.
