Peoples reasons for supporting Celtic

Do some people support Celtic for religious reasons? or maybe it's just purely football? I personally support Celtic for the football as i'm not a religous man. or maybe for some it's a bit of both? There may some out there who support Celtic because they like a scrap before or after the game?

 

Football reason. Born into a Celtic supporting family and that's what I am.

 

no religious reason at all for me.
im a protestant.
family filled with rangers fans.
granny is a tim, and shes the one that made me become a celt.

 

Football reasons - my whole family are Celtic fans, all my grandparents, uncles etc. Jimmy McGrory was my Great-Granda's cousin and pretty much everyone on both my Mum and Dad's side are Celtic fans, i suppose due to them all being Irish immigrants.

Because of my dad. Just who I was brought up supporting. Kenny dalglish was my dads hero, hence why Liverpool are my English team

Older brothers both mad Celtic fans and quickly realised my mood was dictated when celtic won or lost - based on their mood.

 

chose to support celtic after being educated about them,only way i can put it.

because what we stand for/against

 

Me an all, family is full of them listening to there P***h most weekends when i was a youngster got my back up, and for that reason to begin with.Now i see i have chosen the correct team to support i get to most home matches if work allows and not missed a European game in 4 seasons(home only)

Us Celtic fans are the best in the world,and im proud to be a fan to support our club thro thick and thin.

My dads a rangers fan, wanted to make me one too, but from day one when i knew what football was all about, it was clear to me that there was a good side and bad side, a dark side and bright side, rangers never had a chance when it came to this wee guy, 22 now, through the good and bad times with celtic, still a proud supporter and thatll go straight to the grave

 

Football and family. My grandad and dad both supported Celtic & Pollock and they are my 2 teams.

 

Because it was the closest i was going to get to join the IRA, lol. all jokes aside thou , i was born into it and im happy as a pig in * because theres no other football club like us in the uk if not the world

 

I support celtic because my dad did, mum supported rangers. I live in a protestant area so everyone supported Rangers ( Not because they were protestants but im sure you can work out why ). Now i get a season ticket every year with my dad and never regret it ( yes even last year ).

 

nowt to do with religon or realising it when younger, my dad took me to the games when i was younger and bought me the strips and that, come to think of it he's no bought me a strip in a while....so that was that-celtic fan

 

Just a family thing. I couldn't really have ever supported anyone else
