I would like to see Derek Riordan get a start tomorrow since he seems to need a bit of confidence to get going at Celtic. I've watched him for a couple of seasons now and he has talent no doubt, he just needs the fans to get behind him and he'll be a star imo.

I think Riordan has his work cut out to be honest, to get into the first team. Can't see GS dropping Nakamura, McGeady, Miller or Magic. He'll get his chance via injuries though and will have to prove his worth then.

I'd play him instead of Miller. Riordan can get about just as good but the difference is, Derek can finish well

Riordan has shown already at Hibs that he can star in the SPL, so I would drop McGeady tomorrow and give the boy a chance.

McGeady is playing well. Miller is misfiring

Miller is a confidence player who has scored goals in bursts throughout his career, we need to stick with him a bit longer. He'll come good for us. McGeady still needs to learn when to release a pass instead of trying to beat everyone.

Miller has been trying a bit too hard to impress the Celtic fans but his work rate is first class. Magic would always start for me coz he is clinical in front of goal. Riordan could be an option as a withdrawn striker, but he's not a natural frontman.

Magic doesnt do it in the big games so I wouldnt play him against st.mirren, magic has only scored 1 against hibs hearts and rangers in 12 games:celt_2: :shamrock:

since when was Riordan an Striker imo ? .. ive seen him in a fee role / just off the front mostly .. hes not an out and out goalscorer altho ... give him a chance and * bury it. be it free-kick or otherwise..good techinique etc...still gonna take time to settle the lad....hes proven quality imo.... id give him the whole 2nd half against st.mirren.

If you say so, but I wouldn't drop the clubs top scorer. That 1 goal was the winner at Mordor. By the way, Henke took 5 games before scoring against the huns. Lies, * Lies and Statistics.

Not a striker but he can play up front and 15 goals last season says that he'll finish better than Miller:celt_2:

Magic looks lost in certain games, if Riordan was to play he should be played on the left or right wing or behind the striker.

I think the problem is WGS/CELTIC and RIORDAN does know his position

I've read this thread and we don't know his position either.....

I just hope we find his REAL position soon , as he's got the potential to be a superstar !

Up front or left side of midfield seem to be his best positions in his hib days. Since our midfield is doing ok but not up front, i stick him there and see if he can make the sparks fly
