Exactly mate people always come out with that * since naka.people forget that you need to be a good player before the marketing works as well as a country who can actually afford strips.put it this way would there be a huge surge in sales of real Madrid tops in Scotland if they signed kenny miller

doesnae make any sense. we signed juarez and now i got a PUMAS top. don't think the board are into signing foreigners to crack new markets as much as it's made out. FFS, the celtic website is absolute *. if they want to branch out and find more fans, that'd be the first place i'd start to look at.

On the Lenny/puppet thing, I would agree that many of the signings have probably not been instigated by him - that's what we have scouts for. And in charge of them we have John Park, one of the best talent spotters in british football.

One of the qualities of a first rate manager is to make use of the talent at his disposal, and that goes for our scouting network just as much as the players. By the looks of tonight, he's chosen wisely from their recommendations.

I believe that Mulgrew, Murphy, Ledley & Hooper were signed by Lennon cos he has seen them play and thinks they would be good additions, I also think whilst watching the World Cup he liked the look of Izaguirre, Cha Du Ri and Juarez. So I think 7/9 so far were players he saw and wanted and the other two (Majstorovic & Kayal) were discovered by the scouts which is what they get paid for, Maj probs the idea of Mjallby.

So I think Lenny is his own man with his own picks. If he was a puppet he would have probs paid the money for N'Guemo and chased up Ramis more than we have seen.
