Rasmussen

I've never been convinced by Rasmussen. Always thought he looked far too unfit.

 

His goal to game ratio is pretty impresive though for all his clubs and he wasn't really given a chance here tbh

 

Haha how people's opinion changes so quick eh? I remember someone compairing him to BBJ last season.....*?

 

rumour has it he came back from pre season far too fat.

however, he is young, keen, and scores goals.

at least a loan deal means we can take him back. if he scores in germany, then we bring him back at he plays for us. if he doesnt, ship him next year.

 

I can't remember Rasmussen ever scoring with a header, but to be fair to him Mowbray after signing him never seem to play him. I can't see Rasmussen ever going to make it here. No one had heard of Rasmussen when he came here, and I doubt many will know him where he goes.

big ras hasnt had a chance with us. we signed keane after we signed him and he didnt get much of a look in. the same old stupid stories about him turning up overweight are noncense. lennon doesnt fancy him. i agree we need some striker thats decent in the air as hooper aint gonna score any headers thats for sure. shame to slate ras as we havnt seen enough of him to judge him.

 

you have to admit he looked very very slow i pre season.time will tell anyway.could be back next season and make an impact

We give 4 Players on loan 3 of the 4 loans are good for the players but why cant we take some player on loan?

 

We are trying to get loan deals done mate but they are just choosing other clubs

I think Rasmussen has excellent goalscoring instincts but I must admit his weight/body shape did concern me a bit. He looked like he could be a very immobile player which would make him pretty much useless when playing away from home.

If he comes back a fitter player then he may yet have a future at Celtic.

 

Rasmussen never really had an opportunity here...

And it wasn't really his fault. He was bought in January and was immediately an after-thought when Keane-o arrived. Then the manager that brought him in was fired. Lenny doesn't seem interested in playing him, bringing in Murphy. Tough situation for Rass.

 

Best thing all round. He was so slow in the games so far. Hopefully can get his fitness up at Mainz, and either come back a better player or win a tranfer to the Bundesliga.

I am also happy we have offloaded Hutchinson. Feel we are making the right moves now.
