Jan Wouters, Utrecht's Assistant Manager has came out & said that Celtic's Georgios Samaras is the biggest threat to his sides qualifying hopes. I'm sure that was the guy that was up at Inverness on Saturday to watch us, & left 10mins before the end??

To be fair he isn't the first person to come out & say Sammy is our biggest threat, I made a thread last year before we played Hamburg saying the exact same thing, that one of there coaches & players had came out & said the Sammy was Celtic's biggest threat. So when these teams do there research they obv look at Sammy & see him as the one that does the most damage, because even tho he may not score many he covers alot of the pitch & works his * off for the team & creates chances. I've always been one of those fans that have always argued big Sammy's case. I know some fans just can't take to him for one reason or another, but surely if outside clubs see & state that Samaras is a big threat then maybe he doesn't get the recognition & respect he deserves here at Celtic. For me this new 4-3-3 system will suit Sammy, if we play him wide left I think we will get the best out of him (tis where Greece play him). For me I think Celtic should extend his contract by a year, & he should play a big part for Celtic this season :50:

We know his strengths & yes he always starts the first half of the season well & then kind of goes off the boil the last half (Scoring wise), but he never stops putting in the effort & for me I still think he can do a job for us & it looks like Lenny has been impressed by the big man, because from going to someone who was going to be sold this summer he has now became the first choice striker & thats even with 2 new faces coming in, Fair enough Hooper is injuried, but even still, when Hooper made his debut it was Sammy Lenny paired him with so he is a striker bang in form & long may it continue. I hope we keep him anyway & Sammy himself has came out & said he wants to stay, so come on Lawwell get big Sammy signed up for another year :50:

I think everyone except the majority of Celtic fans have been saying and thinking this, I think it proves that Samaras is used as a scape-goat when things go wrong.

Samaras can be a good player, but if maloney plays like he did against caley then he will be a big danger

But then again, how * was Maloney against Braga? Sammy has been our most consistent player this season so far and has the highest stamina level in our squad. Maloney and Forrest squandered chances on Sat, one even a sitter by Forrest, but it's Sammy who gets it in the neck every time. Maloney has one good game so far and all is forgiven and McCourt is in hiding apart from his goal but all the Sammy haters know better, he's the scape goat every time.
