I think he will go to Fulham but IF he gonna come to us i would be the happiest guy in the world

 

This would be as big a signing as Bellamy would have been world class goalkeeper , would be amazed if he came here .

 

Says on sky sports news Neil Lennon is disapointed he couldnt get Bellamy but still hopes to land Shay Given, or somethin along those lines

 

Yeh it's on thier website too, would be a massive player for us if we manage to get him

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has confirmed he would like to sign Manchester City goalkeeper Shay Given on loan.
Given's City future remains uncertain after Joe Hart started the season as the club's first-choice keeper.
The Republic of Ireland international has stated he would be keen on a loan move if he was not playing at Eastlands.
Celtic are keen to bolster their goalkeeping options following the summer sale of Artur Boruc to Fiorentina.
Lennon is a firm admirer of Given and would be keen on pursuing a deal if City were willing to let him leave on loan.

However, the Bhoys manager's main priority is to prepare his team for Thursday's Europa League clash with Utrecht.
"If it was a possibility then of course," Lennon said of Given. "He's one of the best keepers in the Premier League.
"We've been linked with a lot of players and there's been speculation on a lot of players.
"I don't really want to comment on players coming in or going out. I'm just concentrating on the game on Thursday."

hmmmm interesting. I dont think anything will be done on this deal until atleast after the weekend. But I do think it is possible but unlikely

After the Bellamy saga I won't be getting my hopes up about ant big player joining us.

 

a keeper can contribute massively to losing a league title tho, mentioning no names........... ahem...zaluska......ahem.

 

There is no question if some how we were able to sign Given at least on loan he could make a massive difference for us in hopefully winning the league. Having a world class player in any position makes a difference but especially when they play in such an important position.
