We get quoted every other day about this player and that player and what have we got ........
Jaroski (REportedly 2Mill)
Miller (Free )
Caldwell (Hibs paid us to take him away , he's the new tebily)
sno (Young boy and could develop into a half decent player)

I can honestly say only one of those players is Celtic\ CL qualaity

I'm totally * off

He did say that we are trying to bring in three new players, but I don't think he said they would sign anyone in the next couple of days.

 

I think that our squad can't play a great CL this year....we need two high quality players....
I believe we need urgently a playmaker, the player who can make the action....and we need a striker 'cause with Riordan we can't go anywhere in CL this year....
but I don't want a great Cl, I want a third place in the group and then we must play a great UEFA Cup...

realistically the uefa is the only cup we have a sniff at

allthough that sniff is a few thousand miles away with this squad

 

Everyone at Celtic wants Celtic to qualify through the group stages. Both for the glory and the money.

even that i'd refute as chelsea wanted the amount kept quite which means that they took a massive loss on his transfer and seeing as chelsea only paid £3 million for him it seems a bit strange this reported 2 million

When the window closes and the 3 required players are not signed you will hear me * LOUDLY but I dont see the point in doing so until then

I'm not happy either about Camara and Mulgrew getting flogged without a replacement, cowboy stuff if you ask me. Wilson plays left back well but i want him at right, he's a brilliant right sided full back

I can't see it myself. We may get another freed player looking for a place to play out his twilight years......but i honestly do not see one BIG signing coming to Celtic Park before the closing of the window. Wanmadtim

 

Goodness * gracious, do you think I wait till the beginning of each season to make complaints, hells * bells, read or go back anytime and forum I have been on, the bullshit started for me before the * Basel game, dont you know fitba is ongoing, and short sighted people that run Celtic are a disgrace in my books!

 

Hurbert, get a grip. We have about 4 weeks to sign players for the coming season, a week is a long time in football, GS has 4.

Does anyone else remember reading that Ghord would have proper dosh to spend at the end of last season?? I guess it was actually the crumbs left in the biscuit tin. So far the only money spent has been Jarosik. What happened to the other funds Peter promised? A left back, a quality big striker, and another playmaker in the midfield.

This is exactly what we need, Id say in this order:

1. Defender - Besides the lack of quality in the first team here, Telfer, Wilson and Balde are 34, 32 and 30 respectively ... we need some youth here aswell. Caldwells a young guy and in time I think he'll be a great player, and McManus is probably the most important player on the team right now holding things together back there. We need a guy here huge, and a quality guy under 30 at that.

2. Forward - I will say that after the first two games I have more confidence in Miller than I had coming into the season (what a touch on that Petrov goal), and even though I think Riorden could come off the bench and contribute significantly, the fact is we do need a striker of Magic quality or higher to compete in the Champions League. But like I said, after the first couple of games I am more comfortable here than I was before.

3. Midfielder - McGeady, Maloney, Jarosik, Naka make a fine four ... but after that, as we saw against Hearts, our options are somewhat thin. I dont mind Lennon, but we need way more depth and production here off the bench.
