No wonder mate his goal scoring record at Basel isnt far off the same goal scoring record Jelavic had at Rapid :56:. He scored 23 goals in 85 games for Basel. Jelavic 25 in 70

    Damage......

We should just call him damage. I mean that's what's gonna happen to that * Lafferty when he comes up on the man. Damage. "ooooooh, that rat faced * lafferty is wailing away on the ground." "ah know, he got feckin Damaged"

    I kind of like it

What stuck out at me was ,when the ball was dead you seen him going round his team-mates and shaking hands ,giving instructions and generally trying to give them a boost and to keep the tempo going ,Juarez scored and Danny was one of the first players to congratulate him so he ran the full length of the park to get there ,this tells me he is a winner and a team player .

His footballing isnt to bad either ,did he miss anything last night ? in the tackle he is very assured ,very hard but very fair with it ,the guy was a tower of strength to all around him ,he could be the difference of Celtic winning this league of our's in the way he oozes class and is on everyone's case ,,well played by him.

He certainly looks to be the no nonsense rock and vocal leader we've been crying out for. Really good debut.

Just looked like a leader from the very outset.............i think lenny might need to rethink the captain role. I love wee brooney but i think that came to him too early......he needs to develop his own skills before bossing anyone else about theirs.

At last a no nonsense dominating centre back, our Danny Bhoy really looks the business. However this guy offers a lot more than a dominating centre back, I also believe he is a natural leader, he leads by example on the park.

Hopefully with new fullbacks and another steady centre back beside him Celtic will finally plugged the real weakness in our team, I think the Big Man will weld them together as a single unit, let's face I wouldn't fancy trying to explaining to him why I was out of position.

Very strong debut - I never like centre-backs debuting in big games like Euro qualifiers but he put my mind to result with a controlled, aggressive and assured performance. Seems to be a top signing just a shame we're signing him at 32 instead of 22.

I agree, if he keeps performing like he did last night or even improves - our only regret will be not signing him earlier.

He does look in great shape for a big lad though, we could get a good few seasons out of him I think.

I think I will call him Maelström or Maestro :86:
Now we need to pair him with Mišůn or Rogne (so he can teach them) and sell Loovens.

The fans have been proven right, we have been sayin since bobo has gone this is the type of player we have been needing, I am begginng to really like the jigsaw lennon is building 1 or 2 more quality players should give us the strength and depth needed.

Only 2 things he has in common wa balde.

    1- He is a defender
2- He isnt shy in the showers!!

Anyhoo balde was a bombscare the little ive seen of big dan I would say he is way way better than balde. im so excited to get this season properly underway!! old firm games this season will be like old times I just know it!!!

I'm not someone who's automatically impressed by a defender on the basis of height or build. I thought, for example, that Balde was a poor CB - not even in the same league as guys like Mjallby or Rieper. While some of the finest central defenders of recent times have been relatively small - Cannavaro, Puyol, Baresi etc.

But I like the look of Majstorovic. He is even slower than Bobo - but looks crucially faster over short distances, because of how well he reads the game and positions himself. I also like his positivity, and mental attitude - something people often wrongly assume that bigger guys possess, but which he genuinely seems to have.

I think Danny is a right good signing, and many of the things that are good about him are things which he can pass on by example to our up-&-coming players - Misun, Rogne etc.
