I think this JK thing is going out of hand he played about a dozen good games for celtic or something and then got a Scotland call up and then a bad injury .

Now a lot of Celtic fans think he's going to comeback as strong as * and takeover in our defence imo i don't think he will comeback to be a good as he once was out for 2 years he will be scared to go for a tackle and so would i .
I just don't think he's the answer most Celtic fans think he will be .

    But i hope i am wrong :50:

yeah hes had a terrible time/injury .. as you said i wouldnt rely on him too much to be our hope . comeback with a bang... but if he does come back to his best fair enough would be benificial ... as he looked the part .. will have to play lots of games in reserve etc first tho ... dunno if you would see him this season tbh.

I mentioned this earler I said they Injurys have probably ruined his carear in football at celtic It could possably take him 4-5 years to get back to where he was all the childhood training is going to be done again getting the feel of the ball knowing when to make the tackle and how it needs a feel that can take years to come

bollocks! I broke my right leg in 4 places, broke both ankles, detached ligaments in my right knee all in a car accident. I was back playing after 14 months and the natural ability I had (what there was) never left me. I only had to regain my fitness and sharpness. Unless he is still injured, he will be as good a player as he was in no time.

regards to the lad mulgrew ... the boys alright going forward .. but he canny defend ... hes gotta learn that basics 1st imo. and hes a left - back aswell ... only young tho aye but so is wilson ... mulgre got put in with the first team and was like a fish out of water ... i dont think he can step up to that level ... looked good in a average side like dundee utd ...celtic is a diffrent story tho mate not many lads can make that step.. have to be exceptionall in all depts.

I thought both Larsson, Petrov and Maloney would come back worst.

And we were all wrong !!

I've been saying this for long enough, the guy was a decent player but certainly not the answer to all our defensive problems. Even before his injury he wasn't mobile enough or have decent pace - squad player at best.

We don't have a quality CB, maybe JK and Mcmanus will develop into quality CB's. Hopefully, as i don't see us splashing out big money on CB's.

He won't be scared to tackle. He will be doing that for weeks/months before he taking the field in action again. I hope he comes good too though. For all anyone knows he could have been like our very own John Terry. A leader etc, but time will tell.

I won't reguard Maloney to be experienced, but its obvious JK will need a lot of time to get match fitness etc.

I'm saying that scared part of him will all be forgotten about by the time he's actually playing on the pitch for Celtic again.

Come on man. There are loads of * players breaking legs and they are back playing when fit, same as Larsson, Maloney, petrov etc, so why would John Kennedy be oh so scared especially if he's been in training and reserve games long before starting for Celtic's first team?

Do you think the scared thing just comes up when he's out on the pitch for Celtic's first team?

btw, I'm not saying Kennedy is as good as Terry, far from that, but all I'm saying is he could have progressed a * of a lot and possibly been that good. At least he was able to keep Barca out! lol :37:

Yeah, Maloney is not experienced either. He's still young and missed a season through injury.

hes missed too much playing time, if he does come back gd, he wud always have been better. through the last 2 years or so he woulda done a lot of learning of he had been playing, and hes lost out on that.

plus yeh when tackling getting injured will always be in the back of his mind.

I'd stay positive anyways, players comeback from horror injuries all the time, why wont Kennedy?

He'll be relucant to tackle at first but that will go away after a few training matches, everybody goes through it after you have an injury playing sports. Once he regains his confidence he'll be fine
