So is this a rumour or is this close to a deal ?

 

I'm really encouraged by most peoples opinion of this guy on here..Is he really as good as most of you are suggesting??if true, this sounds like a great move for club and player.

 

how old is this keeper

 

He's 25 and picked up loads of fan awards. This would be an achievable signing and would fit into Lennys policy of signing players with potential!

 

He sounds promising,and looks like this could well happen.

 

even thought i wouldnt mind getting him in i would rather get scott laoch watford keeper and keiran gibbs as our left back

Aidy Boothroyd has told Celtic there is no point in submitting an improved offer for Keiren Westwood. The Coventry City manager said the club’s first offer was well short of the player’s value and suggested that even an improved bid would be rejected.

Westwood was identified by Celtic as a replacement for Artur Boruc, who left to join Fiorentina in July and the club made a formal bid thought to be in the region of £500,000. Boothroyd was dismissive of that offer and said that Westwood was aware that it had been rejected.

"They made an offer about three weeks ago and Keiren knows all about it," Boothroyd said.

"It's £3.50 and a bag of haggis, which is nowhere near enough for a player of that quality.

"I don't want to lose someone who I think is the best goalkeeper in the division.”
