Why is GS not trusting him with more time on the pitch..................Any ideas Bhoys+Ghirls ????????????? This game would have been a perfect oportunity for Riordan.

Riordan isn't going to score as many as he'll create - thats for sure. I would have played him instead of Naka today. Similar players only Riordan can handle himself abit more in these games! Naka is phenominal, don't get me wrong - but I think Deek would have been more suited to the game today.
Strachan played Deeks wide left when its obvious to anyone that Riordan's strength is playing upfront as a striker or an attacking Midfielder, If I was GS I would've played Riordan before i put Miller's name down on the team sheet but thats my opinion.

So what do you's think bhoys+ghirls Riordan a Striker or Midfielder????

In place of Miller i presume? I wouldnt argue with that one, particularly after watching Miller today against Hearts. To be fair to Miller he was carrying an injury today according to press reports, so i don't want to cruxify him too much over this less than average performance. Wanmadtim

Don't ask me mate, I'm only stating what was said on Sentanta when they played Naka's old side. They said Miller had some thigh strain and wouldnt be playing. Twice today i clocked him rubbing the the back of his thigh as if he had felt a twinge. Whatever the situation with Miller (injured or not) the same spark that he AND Magic showed against Killie last weekend was missing.....Big-Time! Wanmadtim

Riordan isn't a striker like Miller is, I'd far prefer him to be playing in midfield:celt_2:

I put £2 on Riordan and 3-1, just shows you who id have picked to start this game against Hearts. Its left me completely stumped that Riordan never even got on from the bench today, GS's head must have been up his *.

Same here m8 as Riordan would offer a lot more than Miller and When Young Shaun Maloney comes back(Hurry up please!!!!)We will have Shaun hopefully playing in his usual role in Midfield and i can see Maloney+Riordan striking a good partnership up with young Shaun Playing in Midfield(In Midfield Right-side i think??) and with Riordan up-front with
Magic!! you never know they could be Awesome playing together:50:

If I was Strachan i would've replaced Miller with Deeks instead of replacing him with Lenny, i can see why Strachan put Lenny on the park because there was no physical presence at the back but hindsight is a good thing when you look back at all the faults in that team today.(AS USUAL!!)

Riordan should have been on after an hour, he is clearly good enough to do the biz in the SPL and has done so against Hearts a few times

The problem that was evident that you can't go punting high balls to a bunch of players who have pace but no physical presence so it probably wouldn't have made a difference if Miller or Riordan were on the pitch today the way Telfer was belting balls into the box for Pressley or Berra to head back out constantly but With Riordan on the Pitch Hearts might have got worried and doubled up on Riordan+That could have gave our players a wee bit more time with the ball,Just lets hope the team sort it out quick and play Riordan or give him at least 25/30-mins to see what he can do in the SPL FFS
coz i think Riordan WILL shine in the CL along with Maloney!!!!!!!!! only if Riordan was playing a lot more in the SPL

True m8 but what I ment was play Riordan Alongside Magic and Play Maloney in Midfield as I think the two of them will be on the same wave-lengh with each-other and WILL cause teams plenty of problems with there fast feet and trickery and with Magic there also there could be a few goals between them not just in the SPL but in the Champions League as well(I can't wait for the draw and lets hope the bhoys make it past the group-stage for our first time and who knows go futrher than Rankers did eh??:87: )

See what you mean then, although I see Deek as more of a midfielder, and would rather Venegoor of Hesselink (fingers crossed) partnering Zuraw.

Dont thin k that Deek has more to his game than just finishing. If he's competeing with Magic and Miller then he's definately third choice. Millers got better movement and Magics a better poacher but he can develop. VOH is a better player than all of them IMO, would be great to nget him.
