Petrov, Lennon & Camara to go?

Celtic are braced for a call from old boss Martin O'Neill (now at Aston Villa) who is expected to sign Neil Lennon & Stillian Petrov whilst Leeds are supposedly after LB Mo Camara.
Another player about to be shown the door at Celtic park is Adam Virgo who is in talks with Coventry about a year long loan deal.

 

Heard the same about Petrov and lennon.

 

well if o,neil buys petrov he can have lennon,telfer virgo,and caldwell for free now we cant be fairer than that can we. so stump up 7 mil martin. and i will personally drive them all down for you.

O.Neill leeds and coventry would be doing us a huge favour taking them off us imo.. hope they do..while theyre at it take telfer and caldwell too.

 

Telfer id lose, the other two no * way. Today should be proof enough that Stan is vital to our cause, what a goal he scored and that was with a niggling injury. I also think he's starting to realise that the bast place for him is Celtic Park. In his last couple of interviews he's been very cold in giving his opinion, like when we got beat 4-0 in America, i was physically angry at some of the things that came out his mouth. But he had an interview on Sat (i think) in the record and it seemed to me he was being a bit more mellow about the whole situation. Hopefully he's starting to see the light because hes our most important player without a doubt.

As for Lennon, he's not a great footballer by any stretch of the imagination but we need his presence and professionalism now more than ever in these times rich with players who dont yet know what being a Celtic player is all about.

 

yeah i read that interview aswell ,, saying he would never talk to any other club behind celtics back etc .. if they offer the asking price then im allowed to talk to other clubs etc.

...Realise this Petrov is Offski .. most probably this week...i would forget about him. as long as its the 7m.

id love to keep him aswell hes one of our better players and has been for quite some time quality footballer imo... but he going in this transfer window i know that much... his heart not at paradise no more. 7m no less. possibly more.

 

We'll have to agree to disagree then, because i have a feeling hes going to stay, and if hes still here when the window shuts i'll expect to be showered with gifts and praise from the lot of you pessimistic plums

But i see that as just lazy thinking. Saying thats the only option is simply a lie, because there are other options involved. He wants to move away but * sake, if he doesnt get a move in this window do you think hes just going to give up on it and sulk for the rest of his career? Get a grip, hes still goanny do a job for us because he knows playing well can work to his benefit. Have a bit of resolve man

 

Well if MON is wanting our Captain and remember lenny has signed another contract the same with Petrov so lets hope MON puts in a very nice offer of around £8-million for the two of them coz\ remember captain's don't come cheap anymore MON should know that and yes Lenny gave the ball away for the 2nd goal at Tynecastle today but how many times has Lenny helped us plenty out bhoys and ghirls plenty eh?????????????????????and REMEMBER its only 2-games old the SPL FFS FFS

 

Yes, but how often has he helped us in the last 12 months? Once? Twice? I know, I know, I'm being generous. Point is three-six years ago he was a great, dominant player for us. Two years ago, he was an ageing general, but managed to get the job done more often than not. Last year he was a waste of space who didn't do anything good or bad (overall). This season he will be a liability.

His time is more than up.

You can't expect Petrov to put out 100% every week when he wants away so badly, and he was right in saying he did Celtic a favor by re-signing instead of trying to get away on a Bosman. He's done well for the club and now wants out, so let him go, especially if it's for 6-7m. Lennon leaving I don't think would hurt either so long as we get good money for him. My only concern would be getting it done quickly so new faces can be brought in with that money before the transfer window closes. As far as losing Virgo and Camara, they'll be missed about as much as a bad hangover.

 

You'd need to include Strachan in that package as well coz we all know he goes nowhere without his * chum and worst Celtic full back in living memory, Telfer.

 

I won't be mad at Stan if he goes to MON ... at least MON seems like a lot better manager than GS
