i think 29-30 but could give us time to have a look at other strikers if we get him that means we can have a look around europe to find a replacement

Deffers, hes got all the experience, height, strength and goal scoring prowess i think we need. Hes 31 now but what does that mean? I daresay hes still got a few great years in him, if the tales are true and we get the player i'll be a happy chappy!! :50:

12/07/06 - Strachan will not be looking to further strengthen his defence before the start of the league campaign and added: “I am happy with my centre backs. I won’t be looking for anyone else in that area.”

Sweet Jesus, does anybody else agree with WGS?

they are fine compared to our lb (if wilson plays rb) situation in my opinion.

would like to see Ludovic Magnin as new lb. would cost around £0.7 - 1 mio

Tristan got double figures in La Liga last season and would * it in the SPL

Better than Hartson and I think he's younger as well

Tristan is quality , remember watching him and makaay upfront for deportivo..both class... major coup if we managed to get him. ... he is still only 30 ... and put it this way .. id be much more upbeat if we landed him rather than if we wudda signed hasselbaink.

we have competition from 2 other teams ... benfica and sporting lisbon .. i think we could honestly see them off we are bigger than both them and also have lure of champs league ...only blip unless tristan doesnt want to leave the continent ./ what kind of wage demands ... its early days tho .. next few days it says..lionel scaloni is also on his way out of deportivo.

I think we need to make some more signings this season, but if theres knowone worth buying i dont belive we should waste our money just for the sake of it. obviously every squad needs changes and re-building but wasting money on people who are not worth having is pointless.

some people may think im a bit optimistic but we should try an sign someone like Sol Campbell, after all Strachen said he wants experience. someone like campbell would bring strength and experience to Celtic's back four. also i heard somthing about Evertons left back Gary Naysmith, he would fit in great at Celtic.

Please reply what you guys think.

sol campbell wants £80k a week, and for a centre back the wrong side of 30 with acknowledged mental problems, it's a helluva waste of money.
as for gary naysmith? well, he's just *.

we should chase up this ian harte angle, or else look inwards for full backs, strachan's already said he's willing to go with youth, so why waste money on someone like naysmith?
