    Correct.

Doubt he's coming, Lennon said himself that no contact has been made, which means rumours so far are a load of *.

I have a strong feeling Celtic wont make this public and will ask Bellamy not to make it public as the Bullard, James and Campbell deals all fell through after they looked like done deals.

is it me or is any one else getting bored with Bellamy's name, I don't mean it in a bad way or anything but you when rumours keep going with no real evidence from either party about converstations between each other and yet the media continue with it, that in end you just wish it would either happen and he comes or he just goes elsewere.

at the end of the day if he were to come here it would be a massive coup for us and i would be happy but personally some of the excitment of him signing is gone as i'm fed up with this story going on when from the start theres been no evidence to back up the rumour

Celtic insist they will not break the bank for transfer target Craig Bellamy as they set £30K wage cap

Aug 11 2010 Exclusive by David McCarthy
    [IMG] Craig Bellamy Image 1

CELTIC will not make a serious move for Craig Bellamy unless the player and Manchester City take a massive financial hit to make the loan deal happen.
The Welsh hitman is on a bumper £90,000 a week but is unlikely to make City's 25-man squad that must be registered with the Premier League before September 1.
That will leave him facing a four-month spell in the reserves if he remains at Eastlands and Bellamy, who had a successful loan spell at Celtic in 2005, is determined not to go down that route.
Hoops manager Neil Lennon is watching the situation closely and would love to have the striker on board.
But a senior Parkhead source insisted Bellamy and City would have to settle for Celtic paying no more than £30,000 a week towards his wages.
He said: "There won't be the kind of £65,000-a-week package that was on offer to Robbie Keane.
"We simply aren't in a position to do that and if anything is to happen with Bellamy there would have to be a massive move from Manchester City or the player to make it happen.
"We would love to have him but it's a long way off at the moment."
Bellamy admits he has no idea what the future holds but is shellshocked to find himself out of City boss Roberto Mancini's plans.
He said: "I feel strongly that I can offer something at the club. But if I don't get in the 25-man squad I don't know what I will do. I might finish full stop or look at every option I get.
"I sort of feel I'm not going to be part of it. I can see it from a distance. I find that really difficult because I enjoy playing for Man City.
"I've had a few options. I've turned down Wolfsburg. I don't fancy Germany as it's not somewhere I see myself playing football.
"With this ruling it doesn't matter how well I train or how good my attitude is, I might not be registered to play.
"So do I go without playing until January or do I find myself a club where I can play football?
"I am committed to stay where I am. I feel I deserve to be part of it but I don't pick the 25 or the team."
Meanwhile, Cillian Sheridan has revealed a chat with Aiden McGeady convinced him to sign for CSKA Sofia.
Sheridan, who heads to Bulgaria tomorrow to tie up his £300,000 deal, said: "It's a risk and a big step but I spoke to Aiden last week when he was in Moscow.
"After talking to him I'm keen to get on with my transfer to Sofia."
McGeady should seal his £10million move from Celtic in the next 24 hours.
