We could have wallace and gromit playing centre half with craig bellamy in the team and he'd win games on his own.

The fact is our defense was a shambles last year and we only lost the league by 6 points, and before keane appeared in jan , we could barely buy a goal in about 50% of the previous games

From an article in the Sun:

Lennon, meanwhile, has targeted potential candidates as he looks to spend the McGeady cash on a new keeper, left-back and centre-back.
He admitted: "I'm not optimistic we'll have a new face for Saturday. But we'll work away to see if we can bring in maybe a couple. It could go till the end of August.
"Craig Bellamy's name keeps cropping up, but whether we can do that one I don't know. I've not spoken to him and there's been no contact between the clubs."
Lennon expects Scott Brown and winger Shaun Maloney to shake off knocks and be ready for the trip to Inverness.
But Gary Hooper is a doubt after limping off in the first half of the Rovers defeat with a calf injury.
Lennon said: "There is a bit of bleeding in there. We will have to see how it settles down."

I like the directness of this post. :56:

He's right though, Bellamy isn't the answer to our problems.

He could be a way round the problems, but the problems will remain until we get a decent LB, a decent experienced CB, and another keeper.

And Bellamy would bring problems of his own - he always does.

Got to remember Bellamy is a lot older now. I can't recall of anything since his Liverpool problem with Riise

Hope we give Bellamy a wide berth, certainly in terms of a permanent transfer. He's 31 now, has admitted that his knee(s) are are affecting his career and would cost an absolute fortune.

No player can win a league on his own. Bellamy and Keane both failed and they are quality players.

But for all you know in both those periods they were at the club we might have ended up a lot further back than we did. Both players scored some amazing goals.

His goals kept us in the race for the league otherwise we would have lost it long before we did.

Brown and Maloney will be fit for ICT, but Hooper won't. F*CK ME!

Back to Bellamy, (Borat voice) I LIKE. I'll console myself by saying we're being economical if we don't get him tho.

Mark Hughes and Fulham look to def be our only competition (City have already rejected a bid from Tottenham.) And Hughes has signed him twice already, while at Blackburn AND Man City, not to mention coaching him @ Wales. But who the * are Fulham

midtable in the premiership, just been in a European final, so their financial clout is far greater than Celtic. Simple fact unfortunately.

In the Daily Record Lennon confirms that there have been no contact with Manchester City or the player/agent.

I would very surprised if we see Bellamy or Keane in the Hoops this summer.

somethin came to mind last night for me, bellamy is a quality player and no doubt he has several options on the table, maybe thiervhas been contact between bellamy and celtic. Maybe bellamy has been waiting for the mcgeady deal to go through so we can sign him?

There is no concrete evidence that we are making or will be making an offer for him tho.
