i dont mean to be cheeky * bullshit the guy obviously wont get ready in time to get to the match. so its looks like you are calling him a liar. second of all. yes the credit crunch its true. i had a season ticket and had to give it up i was made redundant and i cant afford a ticket to the game i have also bought loads of celtic stuff from the celtic shop many jerseys and cetic tops. ive gave a * of alot to celtic. so i think id deserve atleast to hear how things are going on the radio. im extremely offended at your comment it has made very angry actually. its all good you sayin this credit crunch marlarky when you can afford a ticket im having to live at my * parents house. rant over

I don't think there is any doubt that the economy is having an affect. We had * Dion Dublin pulling on the hoops after getting thrashed 5-0 by Bratislava and we still had a full house when the economy wasnt *.

Much more legal than watching any of these dodgey online streams, your money is going directly to Celtic rather than Sky Sports, which is where the rights issues of not being able to watch it in the UK comes into play.

I've often wondered how these online streams don't get shut down more.

I still think it's little short of a disgrace(over-used word but it is) that there is no radio commentary on this match tonight. Hundreds of thousands of fans are left in the dark for one of our biggest games of the season. Poor show.

I genuinely think Celtic shot themselves in the foot by not selling the rights - they will get short term gain in more tickets being sold but they have also just introduced about half a million people to free pirated online streams of the game. They should have at least sold the rights within the UK on Channel 67.

People will get the game anyway, they just won't pay you for it now. I'm probably one of the only people on here who has went and paid Celtic for it, and that's because I can get around the UK IP blocking.

30,000 fans there singin and 30,000 in the pub, or 60,000 fans singing? the crowed can make a difference to the result and that's why Celtic chose not to sell the rights to it being viewed in the uk. the difference could be 10million quid.

People who wanna watch it online are going to watch it online anyway for free, might as well have sold it to them on a pay per view basis on the internet. Anyone who isn't inclined to go for internet streams will still have to go to the stadium.

I'm not suggesting the match should have been televised, I understand why Celtic decided against going down that road. But surely it could have been on the radio? You're not seriously going to tell me 20-30,000 people would have stayed at home and listened to the radio instead of going to the match are you?

I know plenty of people who would have been happy enough sitting in with a few beers to watch the game on their 50 inch plasma telly. :icon_mrgreen: But the fact is that they are desperate to see their team in action and dont want to watch a *, jumpy online stream so they have got off their backsides to buy a ticket.

Celtic are right to do this and if we made the group stages we would rake in a fortune for it.

Heading to the game in 10 mins ! Hope this is a night to remember ! :50:

to who are they selling it? sky sports/espn aren't going to be interested in an internet only deal.
the club cant go about their buisness being affected by illegal streams
anyone who's going to watch it online will do so, for free- they won't want to pay for it.
Very few people pay for this sort of thing on the internet. there's no money in it for the club selling to a small streaming website and because they'd rather have people in the stadium they won't put it on chan 67

60,000 fans paying for chan 67 in SCOTLAND would have to sign up for it for every 10,000 in the stadium to make it equal the ticket sales , chan 67 is 5quid.
I see the worth in it for the club and don't beleive they're shooting themselfs in the foot, it's just unfortunate for those who can't make the game for what ever reason
