Messina midfielder Carmine Coppola is being mooted as a target for Celtic, according to reports in the Italian media.

The 27-year-old was courted by Tottenham Hotspur 12 months ago, but Messina proved reluctant sellers.

If it's Tymoschuk then we need another midfielder. If it's someone that I've never heard of then no. Although he does sound good.

 

I would prefer Tymoschuk than Coppola peresonaly but if Petrov doesn't leave we will get no-one!!!

 

i've only heard of him through football manager 2006 cos i went messina for some odd reason

 

spurs were after him last year and price of 5 million euros (3.4mil) was quoted although messina refused to sell him. he's only got a year left on his contract so maybe a we bit less now. got the info from skysports.com so dont know how accurate it all is

as for coppola if he was that good spurs would have signed him when they had the chance and from what i have seen of him it would just be like signing a slighty faster lennon no way he could replace petrov he is to defensive
