He's going to feel like a right * when he runs out for PSV again this weekend after saying goodbye on Sunday.
Bit like Paul McStay after he threw his shirt into the crowd.

haha, he'll have to do it every week now, 'Eh, i wasnt saying goodbye, i was just wishing them all a safe trip home'

I think hes a good player, but i just think he could be arrogant. similar to some of the things big Pierre got up to.

Mind you if he's half as a good a player, get him signed up!!!!

it'd be good to have a press conference at which Ljuboja was unveiled and Hesselink was informed that we have no further interest - I mean we're not talking nickels and dimes here are we?

Celtic Should just buy him no-matter the cost ffs The Board will make plenty on the sale of his name on New Tops(New away one lauches on the 31/08/06) Supporters have to pay 95p a letter then the squad number costs £7 pound then the New Top £40 after all that the total cost is £66 pound for a New Top with Vennegoor of Hesselink on it Thats a total of £26 and with over 80,000 Fans in the UK+Ireland(probably more??)Just think if all of them buying a top ffs Now thats a lot of money is it not????????

The board should buy a paper coz there even saying the same ffs His name will Make you money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hmm hey guys!

Seriously, Jan isn't the greedy type. He's just a farmer who can play some football. He's not out on your money, i'm sure the salary that Celtic has offered was just real low. Jan just likes to play some football and wants a pro-salary, he deserves it. In the dutch media today it's being said that the terms are really far away from eachother and that Bolton is really interested too, but I wouldn't be surprised if he just stayed at PSV. He really loves PSV, but he would like to play in England/Scotland, but then the club he joins has to pay the right salary :).

I'M A FARMER'S SON!! and THEY are ALL greedy c*nts.

If he likes Celtic and was getting AS YOU SAID PSV-fan £13 grand a week I'm fairly Confidant that the board would have offered him at least £20,000 now to me Thats enough and I would say listen if you score goals in your first 6-months then WE WILL increase your wages but not untill then ffs If he doesn't want a move why?? the * did he come to Scotland with his daddy to talk to Celtic?? Personaly it looks like to me he wants to leave PSV and he is looking at ways to earn money like Most FARMERS:47: :47: m8!!!!

i'll say no, hope he does, but i reckon he probably rates himself a lot higher than Celtic do.

as soon as i heard he had a £1million buyout on his contract that celtic would have to pay for i thought that the deal would die.

    can only hope though.

    Hi guys..

First of all I would like to say Celtic is a well known club of course in our country and most people here even love Celtic more than Glasgow Rangers :p.

I have been to Glasgow Rangers - PSV Eindhoven a few years ago when we faced them in the Champions League. I must say I was impressed of the city Glasgow and of course Glasgow Rangers but I haven't been a real Glasgow fan after that day.

In the Netherlands we dont get to see a lot of footage from your competition. I think its quite sad because I like the kick and rush football :D.
The Old Firm is popular in the Netherlands .. people have quite an interest in Celtic and Glasgow Rangers. I always enjoyed watching those games mainly because of the "work"" football and the atmosphere during those matches. I"d say the atmoshpere in your stadium is a lot better than in ours, Ajax's stadium and Feyenoord's stadium.

About Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink .. (in dutch we say Lange Jan as a funny name for him it means Tall Jan :) )

He could be a real asset to your club. He is one of the most friendliest players I have ever seen at our club. He never whines, he works his * off and communicates with the supporters as it should be. I am not aware of Celtic's financial position. It might be the same as PSV .. (not being able to spend more than +- 4/5 million euro's on 1 player)

but the money you might be giving will be worthwhile.

Anyway if you sign him .. you will get some more supporters from the Netherlands as well .. (at least I will be one :D ) and your fanbase will be even higher :/

As a regional club (PSV) we have a relatively small fanbase but I dont mind. Everyone loves their club and thats the way It should be. A club is great for me when you have good supporters and quite a good squad.. PSV and Celtic have those qualities and I hope someone can tell me where I can watch highlights of the Scottish League on internet. I'd really be sad if he leaves but I wont stop following him.. I might even come to Glasgow again to support the best team in that city.. The Celtcs ofc :)
Btw, whats up with all the Irish flags .. its confusing :D

    oh btw:

Just put VOH on your Celtic shirt and its the same only 3 letters and not a lot of money :p :D

and about his salary... he gets a lot at PSV .. am quite sure of that .. we didnt want him to leave for several seasons and for signing for more years he has received a higher salary. .. I'd say he earns about 1 to 1,25 million euro's at PSV .. how much does the best player of Celtic earn ?

I reckon Petrov, Thompson, Balde, Nakamura all get about twice that but they are expections to the wage structure for various reasons

I don't think he's worth the cash that he wants tbh. His goal scoring rate has hardly set the tulips on fire over in the land of dope smokers.

Is it just me or have the media all had a lobotomy? I've read this line on nearly every big media site:

"JVOH is drawn to Celtic as they are in the Champions league this year"

SO ARE PSV!!!!!!!!!!!!! In the same * pot as well. Do they think we're f@cking stupid? If I read that one more time I'm going to do some damage.

Well, its not my money, I dont care how much they spend on his wages, hes worth whatever they pay him ... as long as he plays for the team, thats all I care about.

Its always something this year, just when it looked like it was a done deal, WHAMMO! ... they hit you with another snag, I cant stand it...

    ? ? ?

He is not the type of TOPSCORER , he is very usefull and he also makes others play better. But he can score a lot as well .. I'd say he will make about 15/20 in your competition maybe.

For the people interested I copied some text from his fanpage and translated it.

Good point m8, and were PSV not in the semis a few season back too? more chance of actually doing something on the european stage. Its money driven, if you worked for Tesco and they put in your contract they would pay you £1mil if you moved job, you'd be straight round Asda looking to applications.
