Celtic great slide into shitvill started way back when MON was in charge, you could see the affects some of his CHEAP signings and how often they didnt play.
WGS did well with what he had but most of the players were still under par to what we needed and wanted.
Now with celtic top signings being around the 2 million mark its really starting to show when we play in europe how far behind the rest of the world the spl really is.
I dont think any manager out there could do any better than just winning the spl with the funds and players he could buy at celtic.
Does anyone really think lennon would go out and buy mulgrew if celtic gave him 10/15/ 20 million for one player....????? i dont think so.
Yes he is new to the job and he has much to learn....but in over his head...??? nope i dont think so...winning the spl yes i think he will do it but thats all celtic are going to do.
Forget europe unless we find 50 million under a seat somewhere.
I think celtic biggest problem is to many players in and out over the last 5 years....we need to stop buying and selling so many players no matter how poor we was the year before and build slowly.....one or two at a time.

Who isnt giving him a chance?? a lot of people apparently * haha. yeh hes one 8 league games in a row man. And yes i can hold a conversation thanks, and as for being 'thick' well i cant really be bothered to start throwing insults around a forum for the team that i actually support so i'll just let you have that one! I Was just annoyed seeing so many people jumping on Neils back! calm down son. Im all up for debate i just think its WAY to early to even begin thinking about Neils managerial security and that. If you didnt like my comment get the * over it :) CMON CELTIC 4-0 Vicory next week will do fine

i agree with most of what u say. mulgrew though is utter *. anybody thats ever watched him will tell u that. didnt take wed night to work that one out. what i will say is that lennon knows the positions we have to fill and after 7 signings we still need a good goalie, good centre half, good left back and top striker. i thought these would have been his top targets after seeing our team last year???

Well its not like lennon and celtic are not signing anyone.....but at the end of the day money talks....and maybe just maybe we aint got enough cash to buy better than what we already have in those postions.
Its also not lennons fault or celtic that james/cambell and bullard are more about cash than winning anything.
I have never seen mugrew play so i will take your word on him.:50:

Let's be honest here.......even Martin O'Neill and Gordon Strachan who had a lot more experience and better players to choose from than Neil Lennon has both presided over some pretty dismal away European performances as well. What happened on Wednesday night was nothing new so it's not really fair to pin the blame for it solely on Neil Lennon.

In addition to the incidents you refer to the whole performance was total * with no one player getting close to pass marks. By focuing on these incidents one could mistakenly think we were hard done by with isolated gaffs when in truth the whole event was one big feckin gaff. I'm sure one of the motives for the thread is a hangover from last seasons collapse when we were saying, give him time, it's not his team, the new players need time to gel etc etc.
There has to be a fear that we were entering into a groundhog day scenario, hopefully Lenny will suceed but we need to understand the fears being expressed by some forum members.

no man could get a team full of new and old players to play his style of football in a matter of weeks. it wont be until this time next season that the squad is playing with the attitude that lennon wants.

well they should. would you be able to take players from totally different leagues from all round the world, throw them in the same team, and have them playing the way you want them to in about a weeks time? could you *, nobody could.
