Dont think it really worked out for him yet some a think the best thing for him or us to do is to send the Young lad out on loan to 1 of the top 6 SPL teams (Apart from Rangers) that way he might play every week and get himself accustom to play in the SPL.

You'd have to go back well into last season to find any of our players who've had a standout game.. probably McGeady only.. Are you suggesting we transfer list every player apart from McGeady? I also don't get the comparison with Mizuno considering they play totally different positions.

How many free-kicks (shots on goal) has Ki taken for us in competitive matches? I would say less than a handful. I recall one last season he stuck it in the top corner and the keeper pulled out a good save.

If I showed you a clip of David Beckham ballooning the ball over the bar at Euro 2004 would that once incident be an indicator of his set-piece ability? I don't think so. If you're going to judge Ki's set-piece taking then at least open your mind to more than the 3 or 4 shots on goal he's had for Celtic.

If you watched him for Korea, especially pre World Cup I seen him deliver 3 balls in 3 games that resulted in 3 goals. In the match against Spain I recall him setting up a team-mate for a gilt-edged chance, and also
He needs to be our primary set piece taker.

You are asking me to judge how many goals from set-pieces Ki has scored for Celtic. I'm pretty sure he's only started between 3 and 5 games. How many goals per game did Juninho or Beckham score from free-kicks. How many goals per game did Nakamura score from free-kicks (less than 1 in 15).

It's almost irrelevant whether you think he's quality or not at this stage. He's made a maximum of 10 appearances for us - this is what is offensive about this ludicrous argument. If you're honestly suggesting we should transfer list a world cup player after something like 3 starts then you're off your rocker.

i havent been totally convinced by him yet. imo, he needs to be played next to someone that will do dirty work all day long while ki does the slick passing. maybe kayal and ki could form some sort of defensive midfield partnership?

didnt think Ki done half as bad as people are making out.

Think what people are failing to realise, is that Braga were giving NO TIME whatsoever to any Celtic player. As soon as we had it, we were being closed down by 1-2 men, and Celtic's movement is TERRIBLE ( last season too! ). There is no running to get the ball, and no-one making moves. It's almost as if their scared to lose their energy.

Scott Brown and Shaun Maloney though! Now they were absolutely terrible, didn't see everyones saviour Ledley do any better either. Juarez only just got pass marks from me, Cha didn't have much to do, so cant really comment, but he was in really good attacking positions at times, but didnt get the pass.

Oh! and Ki probably looks ten times worse than people are making out because he's a playmaker. That's the person on the park that you want to stop getting the ball by all means necessary.

Totally agree with that.. At times I see our players movement and think they are scared to get involved yet teams always seem to bust a gut to hurry us into playing long balls and hopefull passess and we concede possesion because we don't have good off the ball movement or people showing for the pass.. It's fine at Celtic Park on the big open spaces but when a team like Braga try to condense all the play into your side of the pitch it kind of plays into their hands to play one guy isolated up front and even have him tracking back to help or go looking for the ball , efectively turning a 110 metre pitch into a 60 metre congestion zone and in those areas we never prosper.. I think once we get back to using the whole pitch again in the friendly's at the weekend we'll see a completely different story and much better movement from Ledley , Juarez , Ki , Brown and the forwards.

Think Ki just needs some time, he wasn't great the other night but neither were about 8 other players, possibly more.
He is a good footballer and has a good pass on him, I dont think it was a good decision by Lenny to play him, should have been moulded in the spl and then maybe later in the season used in the CL/europa league.

i take it you can't see the big pic here mate ie brown has been pish and gets the captains arm band ki has not been their long 6 months and you think he is not good enough even tho he was really good in the world cup but hey only after a hand full of games for celtic he is not good enough, and you wonder why i said you know * all about football

ki was one of the hot young players in asia and we got him he has never had a run in the side he has always played well since he started for south korea in the big stage like the world cup, and yet we have a player at celtic like brown who cost more than double never turned up for a big game and he gets the arm band, and yet people think the sun shines out of his * and there are people like yourself who want to get rid of ki or think he is nothing specail, he has not had a chance, what part of that don't you get is it that hard for you? iy must be cause you can't understand that

also did i ask you to go out and get ki on a celtic top..... no i think not drama queen

Ki is a good footballer and will become and even better one in the years ahead .... but not in the SPL. Yes he has a football brain, looks good on the ball and can strike a ball from 30 yds out with accuracy, but the problem is he does not like the contact/the tackle and will get found out - if the SPL Managers/Players have not already done so. In a way I feel sorry for the lad because I cannot see him flourishing in the SPL because of the nature/frantic pace of our game and to prove my point I bet you he will look very good at the weekend against Lyon & Milan, when he will have more 'thinking time' on the ball. So for the sake of the lad and to generate more revenue for us - the poorer his form the lower his selling price - I believe he will be gone by this time next year, at the latest.
