TRANSFER FUND/INVESTMENT

Dont know if this has been discussed before or is even allowed by the football governing bodies. What i want to know is would fans invest money into a special transfer fund souly for the use of buying players.

I know we already buy club jerseys and merchandise season tickets etc but this money is used to run the whole club. First of all you could have people invest as little as they want ,but people who want to invest thousands like ordinary celtic fans or business men looking to invest what could happen here is they will get a return on there investment if the player is sold at a profit but only allowed to withdraw the amount they made a profit on with there initiall investment still in the transfer fund. Anyone have other ideas for this or why it wouldnt work all views welcome.

Just a thought so does it get the or the as we seem to be priced out of the market for a lot of players.

Legally I'm not even sure this could work. For example, if Celtic were £20million in debt and the bank were looking for the club to pay them money then Celtic dipped into this 'transfer fund' and went out and spent £10million on players I'm not sure they'd be able to do that. Maybe some of our more financially knowledgable members could clear this up a bit?

 

did koln not create a special website with a picture of podolski and then charge the fans a flat fee per pixel as a way around the legalities of it to then assist the signing of podolski?

yeh one of our shareholders has £2.4billion (denis O'brian) and he cant spare a couple of million for us?

i think the average joe that turns up week in week out spends enough on celtic, and if we did invest more money they would probs just buy a few more championship players
