If we pull this off it will go down as one of the results of our history! But cant see a clean sheet at Parkhead.

 

JOS HOOIVELD last night branded Celtic's performance in Portugal as s**t.

He slammed his team-mates for making it too easy for Braga to win 3-0 and virtually kill the Hoops' Champions League dream.
Hooiveld said: "How did I view our performance? It was s**t.
"We lost 3-0 and that was bad enough but if you look at how the 3-0 scoreline came about, you can see it was just too easy for Braga.
"That's what bugs me the most, how easily we gave our goals away.
"I was part of a team which has lost an important game 3-0, so I am not in a position to command my place in the side.
"If I do get the chance again in the second leg, I am going to go through bodies to get myself and Celtic to the next round.
"I really want to get through. Twice I have helped to put teams into the Champions League and twice I was then unable to play in it."
Meanwhile, boss Neil Lennon kept his flops on the plane for several minutes after touching down in Glasgow.
It's understood Lennon was eager to brief his players on preparations for next week's Euro rescue mission.

I think we'll beat them at Parkhead, just not sure that we'll do enough to win the tie.
If it had finished 2-0 then I think we'd be in with a great chance, but the 3rd goal might just be a step too far in turning the tie around.

I would keep the majority of the team the same next week, let the players make up for last night's showing, show some pride & passion into playing for the jersey.

 

Agree with you ,if it stayed 2-0 i think Parkhead would sell-out 3-0 im unsure and that might work against Celtic ,but i just dont see Braga chasing a goal at all ,they will play all defenders and be happy to sit in but if Celtic can go in at H-T 1 or 2 up i really think they will go through ,that game last night wasnt a 3-0 game based on football and Celtic have to see that ,cut out the silly mistakes and hopefully the crowd roars them on and Braga could fall to pieces .

heart says, yes, we can beat these lads 3-0 at parkhead and beat them in ET or penalties.

head says: we were rank rotten in the first game and chances are we'll get thumped 5-0 on aggregate

 

If we can score in the 1st 10/15 mins then it really is game on ,Paradise will be full to the rafters so the attmosphere will be electric and if we can really get behind them then why not , we've all see bigger and better teams freeze when the Cetic Park crowd are in full swing......

braga are by no stretch of the imagination a great team - they are pretty mediocre in comparison with other european sides. But quite frankly we aren't a good enough side to pull this off not yet anyway. Its completely do-able in the sense that braga ain't that good but if you consider the players we put out in our team - brown, loovens, mulgrew etc we really can't pull this off. I can see us winning the match narrowly but losing out on the tie. I'm sure we can all hope for a miracle but unless something drastic happens and i mean drastic! then we face elimination.

 

if we can get a goal in the first 15-20 mins then we are in with a good shout. who knows, we might get a lucky penalty or they may have a man sent off early on, never know.

 

Not a chance of that mate. There's plenty of tickets left and they'll be thousands of season ticket holders that won't show up.

I think we will win the match but not enough to get through. Our defense was "zero", and that helped to disguise the weakness of braga. Is it so bad if we go to the pre of Europa League? I don't think so...I hope at least the team can make Celtic supporters proud on this second leg!

The weakness of Braga??? Braga played an intelligent match! And being weak as you say and scoring 3 goals makes Celtic sound like what??!

 

Makes sound Celtic with a weak defense, a keeper that looks trying hard to adapt to Boruc's place: a Hero. Unfortunately Celtic still has many things to adjust, like someone brave to crash opponents defense. We'll see what happens.

 

And didnt we lose Eduardo and then Quim (the main goalkeeper for this season)??
