kennedy will be a long while off getting back into the first team bearing in mind he hasn't kicked a ball in 2 years,so i believe a center back would also be an important purchase i can't see GS removing his love child from the team though even if we did sign a left back,i have a real nasty image of wilson sitting on the bench to accomdate that orifice that GS seems to adore. As for a backup keeper thats a good shout,i'm not sure marshall has what it takes to be the number 1 at CP although i'd love it if he proved me wrong

ian harte would be a good additiopn especially with the beginning of the season closing in and already looking like we have an unstable defense. also being a a celtic fan it signals to me that if he does prove to be a success he may show some loyalty to the club

Exactly, every whats the Club to fork out for an unproven player and most have never seen him play. Harte would be a good signing.

Our full back attack alot, Harte is an attacking full back

I think he would be as good if not better than some all ready at celtic so he might fit in ok if this deal comes of .

Regi, I'd hardly say he's an unknown player. Strachan has obviously done his homework and realises he would be a good signing. However, maybe he isn't proven enough in the eyes of the Celtic board to whip out £2million for him.

    He's not blooming 28!!!! Is he?:fear:

    Still don't want Harte near Celtic Park...think he's *.

Maybe not *, but still don't rate him. If he was to sign for Celtic I would have preferred it being before him going to Levante.

I'm all for seeing Harte at Parkhead, at a reasonable price. He's mibbe not the long term answer but the guy's a decent player, especially as a threat going forward. Remember guys, Leeds got to the Champions League semi-finals with him in the team so he's step up from Paul '*' Telfer. And it's good having Scottish and Irish players in the team if you've got the choice. :celt_2: :50:

Aye, but do you trust Strachan's 'homework'? hit and miss at best. At least we know what we're getting with Harte and we save money for other players that we desperately need. And Harte isnay * - out of form, sure, but he's playing in a league that doesn't suit him.

He was out of form for his last 18 months in England. That would make 3.5 years of poor form

I'd be happy if we got Harte now, running out of time. Another season with Telfer really wont do. Especially in Europe.

He's been out of form for ages...I've heard of dips in form but this form seems permanent. Still don't see the big hooha about him, he's * all special. And yes I do trust Strachans homework. Zurawski, Nakamura, Boruc, Wilson. While people like Virgo have been signed, I'd still say more hit signings have been made.
