I think we could easily score 25+ goals in this team, looks a gem of a player

Thought his workrate was fantastic last night, especially off the ball. Then when we got it he was coming off the front, laying it off and spinning at good pace which kept us moving. Think he potentially looks like a top player for us and his goal last night said it all really. We've been crying out for a striker like that and he's popped up with two goals in a week against pretty decent opposition on both occasions. Dont think I remember him giving the ball away last night but maybe i'm wrong. Great performance in a difficult game

We can provide him with quality around him, something that scunthorpe couldn't and look what he achieved there whilst fighting relegation. I believe we have a potential star along with Juarez.

The problem Lenny is having at the minute is the same problem we have had for a few seasons. We always play Scott Brown. I mean the guy brings so much unbalance to the team. If we dropped him and played Ledley and Juarez in the middle we would have a much stronger side. I cant understand why people dont see that

He's basically a skinny version of Scott McDonald, maybe with a better first touch.

I sometimes wonder if I know anything about football.

The opinions of others often has me questioning my own beliefs and wondering whether we have been watching the same game.

From what I saw, admittedly on a dodgy stream, hoopers movement looked excellent. He looked strong, no slouch and was willing to get stuck in to win the ball. He was happy to take the ball into feet, lay it off to midfield, spin and run. He never stood still and was constantly looking. Oh and he also bagged a goal. Only minor criticism would be his apparent reluctance to shoot on sight outside the box but he is, after all, several weeks behind the others in terms of match-fitness.

I find it disgusting that after bagging a goal against lyon and then another against the second meanest defence in europe last season. and showing excellent overall play in the process, people are already slating the lad. What more do we want from a striker?

As I said, I hope that my ability to judge a player is correct and that the majority of users agree that hooper looks to be a real player. I also hope those who are criticising a young lad with 2 goals in his first 2 games have a look at themselves.

I'm willing to bet come the end of the season hooperman will be our hero and scott mcdonald will be but a distant memory. I just hope other fans are willing to wait before making their minds up...

He's not going to drop Scott Brown. Neil Lennon thinks Brown had a great game last night.

i feel like the rangers fans when they complained about boyd being *

He vital scored goals against teams and was there best player yet fans kept saying its only against the wee teams he doesnt show up in the other games even so 3points against st mirren are the same as 3points against us.

If the player puts the goals away who cares you cant argue with 2goals in 2games and to make matters worse i honestly thought his movement and control was excellent. Remember this is celtics 2nd competitive game they need time to gel and get 'match' fit

His first game at Parkhead, a European night with tons of pressure to score and he's only 22 coming from Scunthorpe... I think everyone needs to take a step back, breathe a little, and let the kid play. It's a long season and a bit early to be making judgements.
