not necessarily, was it not Peter Lawell who said that they'd asked Tottenham about Keane several times and this time we got lucky. Well the way I read that was Peter Lawell did the groundwork and said to Mowbray "I've spoken to Spurs, there's a chance we can get Robbie Keane in, any objections?" Even if he was indeed a target identified by Mowbray, everyone knows he's a class act, he's proven at premiership and international level, the same can't be said of the other signings Mowbray made, the majority of which turned out to be duds.

Kamara was good, NGuemo started good, Thompson is one for the future, Rogne and Hooiveld decent signings.

Yes thats correct. Paddy was on his way to sign for mowbray when he was at w.brom but celtic made a 11hour bid and paddy made his way to cp. He had a sweat on then when tm was given the job at cp. Considering he agreed to sign for tm at w.brom

i think he wasnt accepted by alot, due to not being a celtic man, but thats for another discussion i guess.
