dont see your point .....his quality IS there to see....thats why burnley paid a club record for him and why wolves have also paid a club record for him......both burnley and wolves didnt seem to be concerned about his goals/games ratio.....we could have had this lad..

its a long season. many of our players play internationally and have long plane travels throughout the year. it would be incredibly dumb to play a player constantly until he is worn out.

The points quite clear really Stokes has a better record of scoring frequently in the SPL. I'm happy with a striker who will bang the goals in

Its probably an initial fee of 800k with up to 400k in bonus depending on how well he/Celtic does this season

A strike force of Hooper, Samaras, Murphy and Stokes. That's still very thin, composed of one sometimes-decent striker (Samaras) and three we really can't know anything about yet.

    This is * risky.

chris killen had a better ratio than fletcher ! killen scored 16 in 25 for hibs. was he worth the £0 we paid for him?? stokes is a poor player. his record in england tells you that. poor poor signing no matter what we paid for him

That is an absolute steal for Stokes. Great signing from Lenny he will bang the goals in as will Hooper.

yeah,i understand that but i would rather we bought less players but better quality such as fletcher and fill the squad with our best youngsters than buy 20 players at 1million each.....

    just my opinion.

With regards to Juarez and Kayal, I think Lennon dropped the pair of them just to show them that they have started well but they must maintain their standards to keep their 1st team place at Celtic, very smart thinking imo, although I must admit I wouldn't be saying that if we had dropped points! Also, I wish he would give try something similar with Brown maybe for a season or so...

obviously we have to play some players. down to the manager to balance things out over the course of a season and notice when players need rest.

No we couldn't, according to Peter Lawell we offered £4m and Petrie was just refusing to sell him to us at that point.

Maybe it's £800,000 to Hibs and £400,000 to Sunderland, I heard there was a clause in his contract that meant Sunderland had to get some of the money.

I know its all about opinions but when are we going to get wise to the * we are being fed by Celtic on signings. James, Keane, Bellamy are touted when the season ticket sales are going slow and what happens?...........................what always happens they say no..................but ask yourself why. IMO its because they are not convinced the commitment is there from the club to spend the money to make the impact we all want. I don't want to be a profit of doom but on the European front we are in total freefall and I for one am sick to my back teeth of taking second best. We might beat the huns this year but maybe not. Has anyone done the arithmatic yet to see how much money we have spent net this summer, my money is on them being up on the deal. I know many will say they are trying and I can't deny that given the sheer volume of new signings but we are trading in the pound shop and that's not what the best fans in the world deserve. Sorry to be so negative but really hacked off with same old *.

James and Bellamy chose family over Celtic. We couldn't compete.

That would be for Hibs to cover, not us.
