No question, he is better than what we have. I'm concerned at he's atitude. The Arsenal dressing room hate him & just look at the French! Good player but would appear to bea bollocks

I would like to see him start his * with Lennon, Thommo and big Johan lol, anyway i think he would be a great signing as he is miles better than what we have at the back just now anyway.

He is miles better than we have and miles better than what we can afford so it would be a world class signing. He is a * nutjob but he is a brilliant defender. Dont see it happening though :(

Gallas would be class, I can't believe people are questioning his footballing ability, he would dominate the SPL. I understand that his attidute stinks and he is on high wages, but he is head and shoulders above any other defender in the SPL. If we sign Gallas he could potentially be as effective as Bellamy, he could save us the same amount of points that a clinical striker would gain for us, if that makes sense.

I don't think anyone is - it's more of his state of mind.

Cant believe I just read this whole thread. No * chance will Gallas be wearing the hoops. Its a complete non story, £80k a week and living in London for the last 10 years to £25k a week and move up to Glasgow for his last big contract, aye right. If he moves up he's more doolally than origenally thought, and I think he's as mad as a bag of spiders. For the record though, great player and would be a superb signing.

    i'll do the maths
if we bought a plyer like bellamy we would need to pay £5 million plus like £75k a week.

    £75K a week = £3.9million a year so £8.9million all together

with Gallas we could pay him £80K a week so thats £4.16million a year with nothing on top

so buying Gallas would be like paying £4.16million for the player, then not having to pay him wages.

    so he is affordable

Don't know if I can see this one happening but Lennon and the board have got to be applauded if it comes off, not just for this transfer on its own but this alongside Ledley and Cha Du Ri as they're all on free's.

Anyway back on to Gallas. He's been available for a fair few weeks now with no concrete interest in him from from any credible sources. He was linked with a move to Greece but you would have thought there would be Premiership interest in him at least. It's a strange one but not impossible based on the signings which we've already made which have been of a really high standard compared to players we have been signing, on the whole, in recent seasons. Lennon is building something big here and although I'll be surprised if this comes off, I wouldnt totally rule it out of being a possibility.

Gallas is big no no for me to much of spoilt brat and his ego would be inflated due to being at a lesser, it's to high a risk for such a telling for all of celtic not just lennon, gallas is no go for me strictly because of his attitude
