i think celtic should go to 5-3-2 with our defensive frailties.

    -------------boruc

    ----caldwell--balde--mcmanus/kennedy

    wilson----------------------mulgrew/new signing

    ---Nakamura Jarosik Maloney

    --------Zurawski Riordan

or 3-2-3-2 as its put in the modern game

Thats a bit better, although they had 11 corners to our 0, and we I think, had one shot on goal, however better stuff, there were still some silly near fatal mistakes, but some verygood play too, thats encouraging, still a long way to go!
PS whos that guy Gregor, wow he sure is suspect in reading the game, guess Celtic pay his wages? LoL

could be a good team but we don't have balde at the moment

A formation like that could move very fast wingers gettin crosses in to the forwards

If we tighten it up at the back, You can't get beat if you don't concede. The italian teams always do well in europe. when was the last time you didn't see an italian team making it to the later stages of the CL. They always keep the defensive line tight. Get that sorted and then worry about the rest.

There is absolutely no point in having 4 midfielders if your playing 2 wing backs, especially in the CL where everything is based on counter attacking football. if the wing backs are forward and you have 4 mids that only leaves 2 at the back if you get hit on the counter. 5-3-2 is definetly the way forward for us. that means we will always have 3 defenders to pick up the strikers. It leaves jarosik with a lot of work patrolling, but i think he's up to the job.
