You just need to read the previous posts on this thread to realise that everyone thinks the same! I'm a bit worried by your judgement of our players, though, to be honest.

Its not daft, its fact. Too many times while he was captain his head would go down first. You cant let that happen. Boruc and Caldwell were more enthusiastic than him!!!

this has been our weak link for years players that are not good enough.i would have ramis and another cb with rogne and hooiveld as back up and big wallace of hearts on left, and sell the rest not good enough we have to make these decisions, simple better quality in our weak positions and better chance of winning title

Do you actually watch games ?, alot of the time i saw Mick rallying them on in games, nobody thought strachans team lacked fight or passion. Once Mowbray came in we lacked it most of the season, one of the reasons Mcmanus wasn't playing. If you look how the players in the team respected Mcmanus and wanted him to stay. Down at borough the players wanted to stay, why ? ... because hes a big character on and off the park.

I do watch all the games, season ticket etc etc. There was a lack of respect in the changing room towards McManus. There was a massive divide in the changing room in WGS's final year, and a lot of the players saw McManus, JVoH and Hartley as kiss *. We aint gonna agree on this, I just think that for two managers (if you can call one of them that) not to rate him, for me it says a lot.

MON - didnt give him a proper chance and never rated him

Strachan - Gave him his chance and ended up a mainstay in his team became captain and now he is took him where he is now so rates him highly.

Mowbray - Never rated him but his judgement on players cost us the league by a big margin so i dont take his opinion on board.

Lennon - Publically stated he wanted Mick back and that he was going to be an important player.

So its divided 2-2 with managers. So maybe we just have to accept we dont agree and cut our losses lol :icon_mrgreen:

    a) your full of bile

    b) an argument can easily be made that Big Mc often had to bail out Gary

    c) were you in the dressing room? or was it ur Auntie's second cousin's step-nephew?

Dont have an Auntie, but it was common knowledge about the divide and the kiss * in the dressing room. That was the reason behind Mowbray's ill-fated clear out.

    Hoovield hopefully will be something.
Ditch O'dea and Loovens (definatley O'dea). get like 2/3Million for the pair.
Get 2 Good Cbs in (Easier said than done i know.) (might only need one depending on Hoovield's ability.
Then have a back four of Hoovield and A New Cb (Or 2 New Cbs.)
With Rogne and Milan Keeping them on there toes.
If we sign one Cb and Hoovield Keeps fit, we'll be fine.

Id be happy with Hooveild and Rogne at centre half with Misun back up and sign another Centre half (Ramis or St Ledlger) if we sign either of put him in with Hooveild with Rogne and Misun back up hopefully Rogne and Misun will be our Cetre half's in the future because they look top quality.

Loovens isnt quick in the slightest, an as for being physical he was pushed off the ball and manhandled by MILLER ?? Says a lot for me when a scrawny wee * like that can push ye off the ball lol ? O'Dea can * off aswell no pace always dragged out of place and leaves too many gaps when he does therefore having to put in silly last ditch tackles that would not have been needed if he wasnt such a moon unit. Th rest I dont mind Misun seems not bad hooiveld not bad aswell like rogne not to keen on thompson aswell :87:

Thank * most fans have now seen OD for the jobbiemeister he is. So much * was posted about him being the best ch at Celtic over the last few years. Not even an spl level player. Hard to judge the rest but OD has always been considered by several manages as the worst CH out of about 4 or 5 poor to average options over the last 4 years.

Loovens & O'Dea , cannot dispute their passion but if we want to move forward - thanks but adios amigos.
NL likes Rogne A LOT, so it's TR and after all he has been through, the quality he had before he came and the way he played in USA,for me it's Milan....not forgetting Josh who is with England U-19's in the European Championships.

Josh Thompson seems so slow and clumsy that I wonder why we didn't flag this fact up before buying him.

O'Dea is OK, but I think people expected too much of him ever since that AC Milan game.

Loovens looks decent but positionally suspect - however this might be remedied if he was in a partnership that he was used to, and confident in. For me, CB is more about partnerships rather than individual players.

Rogne looks promising, could be a 1st team regular in the future.

Hooiveld would start for me. I would have him with either Loovens or Rogne.

Misun looks the best of the lot - but at the moment I think we have more need of him at LB than at CB, cos Mulgrew is struggling defensively.

mutt and jeff? no thanks. hooiveld is better than caldwell simply on the basis of his not having a propensity to kick the ball into his own net. mick tried hard and was a tim through and through but not good enough.
