Hinkel fears for his Celtic future | The Sun |Home Scotland|Scottish Sport|SPL

I think its only a matter of when not if when it comes to Hinkel leaving. Actual quotes in the report, and I have a feeling he will return to Germany. He's a great player and was perhaps our most consistent performer last year and I wish him the best but also hope we can get a decent amount of money for him.

Also...The headline of this article is the epitome of stupidity. "Hinkel: Staying another year at Celtic could be a bad Korea move." :31: Where do they come up with this *.

id like him to stay, if he doesnt good luck to him, it would probably be better for him to playing in german, and try become a regular international

I don't think either us or the Huns can afford to let our decent players leave for nothing

Think he will be for the off. I think we have better cover now than we did last season.

think we need to keep him till Christmas, we need continuity in the team and he will provide that, he's SPL experience, unfortunately he's never really played in a settled back 4.

The sooner he goes the better.

A weakling of a defender and terrible crosser of the ball.

If we can get any money for him, I'll be delighted.

I think he's vastly overrated by some. Average as muck defensively, seldom makes an important challenge/block.

    Disagree with ever aspect..

In my opinion he's been our best defender for the past few seasons, i understand he has one year left on his contract so maybe we should cash in as we do have Cha-Du Ri aswell now but i will be very sad to see him go.

He has deserved to wear the hoops.

I thought he has had most assists for us in last couple of seasons!! Great crosser of a ball

Decent defender i would keep him if it was up to us, but Andy has stated on a few occasions that he will NOT be selected for Germany whilst playing in the SPL. His German national team ambitions will be the catalyst of his departure!

Decent player inhis last year of contract and won't sign again so let him go now rather than for nothing. If we could get anything from £1.5+ then we have to accept and spend the money elswhere. He msut be on pretty decent wages as well that could be freed up

Has done well for the club but really should be moved on. We have a new manager with new ideas. Seems to be alot of pace and engine in the team now and I just think that Cha is faster and has a bigger engine. Cha will run all day and he is great at getting forward and brilliant at getting back. Solid performance in the WC bar 1 game that I watched.

Sorry Andy. You have done well but I will not be sad to see you go. Your time at CP is over. Thanks for the memories and good luck for the future

I really don't think he's good enough for the German side eitherway! :87: Can't see him forcing Lahm out the right-back position somehow . He's clutching at straws.

I thought he would have made much more of an impact than he has.

As other have said the guy is in his final year so best to cash in on him now. Always liked Hinkel but id prefer we got some money and freed up the wages he is on for a position we need sorted out more.

Absolute rubbish!! Hinkel has been one of our best and most consistant players the past 2 seasons! His crossing ability is very good and is being wasted by our strikers, I think samaras does be afraid to get his hair dirty while trying to score a header :icon_mrgreen::icon_mrgreen:
