Really really hope he stays...I cant help but get excited when his name is in the starting XI or even when he gets brought on late in the game. He is just a player off a completely different caliber.

Great news. Paddy deserved to get a contract - let's hope he gets a starting place for next season, he seems raring to go.

its true in local papers paddy has been offered deals from other clubs , germany greece spl premiership , championship. whats these teams seeing that some people onhere dont see lol, is it for the first time celtic seem to be winnig the battle with paddys fitness , plus they can see what a great footballer he is and can bring a bit of class to there teams , ps has paddy not got got two plus 80 mins games in the last few days maybe something specail is happening.

I hope so mate, a fit Paddy would run the SPL ragged and probably make a few teams look like fools in Europe.

He's the kinda player we could use when going one up front in Europe, just behind one of the big lads.

    Really hope he signs.

Anyone else less than impressed that it hasn't been signed yet? is he thinking of going else where? If so, what makes him different to the likes of Bullard, Campell etc etc

If reports are to be believed, Bullard and Campbell were after silly money, somehow I don't think that what's been offered and what Paddy's after is anywhere near what those two merceneries were wanting.

ive been wanting paddy to play for a while get a lone striker and put him jsut behind woulod some * of a damage, he is a luxury player we could play with as he would be our main man.
if he leaves then i personally wish him the best as i hope he has a great career, because for the past few years apart from the injuries when he played he was excellent,
also the say his fitness is upto scratch, well look at last year with all the team full fit and the were all crap, in football if you can get atleast 45 mins of a player playing excellent well then your on to a winner,

In one mazy run, Paddy can do more damage than some players can do in 90 minutes. How confidence sapping must that be, to play against Celtic and for them to have a player who is more than capable of drifting by 5-6 players at a time AND finding the net?

Paddy is a great player, and I think that he should play in a starting XI this season behind two strikers. He won't leave Celtic for Blackpool.

bullard wanted 30k a week here. he just wanted hull to pay him his wages also all-in-all it's laughable him wanting 75k pw irrelivent of who's paying what but remember he didn't want the whole 75k from us, just 30 - which is what I think people expected.
my point is this though - People were saying stuff like "if he has to think about it, we don't want him here"
I've no problem with a player thinking things through at all - I was just making the point. That people don't seem to mind a player taking a week or whatever to sign a new contract if he's already at the club, but if he dosn't say yes right away before coming here they're told to f-off?

imo paddy will stay here because at any club he's not guaranteed a regular start due to his fitness.

great player but huge fitness issues.

Thing I really do not understand is that whatever he is he is a * of a supersub. So why the * is h not used as that (i.e. on for the last 20 mins) far more. I would bring him on like that for most games except ones where we are hanging on to a narrow lead and under pressure or CL games where we are hanging on and no more.

    Thats Liverpool:icon_mrgreen:

I hope Paddy signs! If he signs for Blackpool and they bomb in the EPL it would be a waste.

I would like him to sign, but if he can get better money elsewhere and goes, good luck to him!
