just think how more confident the defence would be knowing a very experienced keeper is behind them , or at least bring on zaluska to his prime , i watched cervi in seattle and he aint ready to be a number two , and by the look of lennys face a couple of times i think he has the same feeling , i also think speroni would be a good signing too , great stopper

Being 39 doesnt matter, easily get 2 seasons out of him. Van der sar is the same age and still top quality.

Would be happy if we sign him on a year contract then see how he does and if he deserve's a longer deal. would be delighted if he was number 1 .

After thinking about it i reckon he could be a great signing. We could get him for 2 seasons and im sure zaluska would get better training with him everyday then if he stays with us he can make zaluska and cervi into cracking keepers.

It was Tony Warner. He was good goalkeeper, pity we couldn't hold on to him at the time.

After watching the antics of Cervi last night, I think after all I would prefer David James.

    Celtic open James talks

David James will open talks with Celtic after Portsmouth withdrew their contract offer for the England goalkeeper.

James, 39, had been offered a player-coaching role at Fratton Park but Portsmouth needed a quick response.

Panathinaikos have joined the chase for Kevin Prince Boateng after moves to Lazio and Genoa stalled.

Would probably do a decent job, however as others have said, i'd be concerned about the wages he'd be after.

Much rather either Rensing or Hildebrand (both free agents)

get someone better? i doubt it. someone younger would be easy but hard to find better. van der sar, friedel, swartzer all about the same age and they are among the best keepers in the prem.
