Now, I am not trying to be sexist here, but how come I do not find female comedians funny? Am I watching the wrong comedians or is it just that males and females have different senses of humours. Because when I watch a quick 2 mins of loose women which is more of a women's show (Not saying that men can't watch it) I hear alot of people from the audience laughing, I can't obviously tell whether if its males, females but probably mixed. Then when I watch Mock The Week (which also has women and people laugh), Frankie Boyle or Lee Evans, I always seem to laugh my * off and is a pure mixed crowd but I think if a woman made a joke on mens sexuality, I would find it really awkward and probably wouldn't laugh. Don't get me wrong, I have chuckled at a few. The reason I am posting this is to see if I am the only one who is like this and what is your opinions on what I have to say?

Note: Apologies if I have discriminated in any way towards females and others who take offence. If this thread is entirely offensive towards others then you may shut it down.

I know they are, the reason is I just somehow don't find them funny, maybe I am to used to male humour.

I know exactly what you mean, although I do think Jo Brand is the only one I find funny. I really don't think sarah millican is any good. I also don't like her voice.

I have no idea what you're on about but maybe it's becaue I'm female :grntongue Comedians are hit or miss for me regardless of gender. Most of the time I don't enjoy stand-up comedy.

Don't find anyone mentioned in this thread funny in the slightest.

Sarah Silverman is pretty funny though.

Barely any women comedians can be funny.
Just most women singers don't have an edge to thier voice that makes it unique, they're always too polished

I think that has to do more with that record companies etc think everyone wants to hear, rather than the female singing voice. There are plenty of unique and distinctive female vocalists on smaller record labels... they just do not appeal to the masses.

Back on topic I dont find many stand ups funny. I love stand up comedy but I think most comedians regardless of gender, are very hit and miss. There are less female comedians out there and as a result fewer that will be any good.

Also to the OP that Loose Woman programme should be banned, fecking horrific tv.

Jo Brand is usually quite funny. Sarah Millican isn't funny at all. I like Lucy Porter.
