Exactly, You wouldn't make a great PR man for the club Shaydee.

 

We are getting worse game by game not better…

 

Getting really frustrated this pre-season. We stay up till half 2 in the morning to watch what? Celtic getting pumped 4-0? So that´s 3 games, 8 conceeded and none scored. Im really disapointed so far.

While I say this, I´d be alot more worried if that was our FULL team. If Balde, Nakamura, Zurawski and Boruc were with the team then i´d be feeling alot worse about the situation.

 

Miller tried to break one of the DC United players legs. Basically dove and scissor locked himself around the guys legs. If you watch the highlights you'll see it... Also DC never had their full squad either... infact 1 of thir goalscorers had never stepped onto a professional pitch until last night. Think they were missing the clubs highest goalscorer and afew other key players...

 

If going by the rule book Millers was a red card then so was the DC player for raising his hands to Miller. Although, Miller did lash out a few times in the game and was lucky not to see red for that.

i am worried i think wgs is unable to get the team to gel to pass and there fitness is a joke if we dont win the next match im packing my suitcase and heading for darkest peru come on gs get these bums back from extended leave and into these games its not as if any of our players got past the first round or anything

 

The whole reason of pre-season is to get fitness back and match sharpness. You dont have it coming into it you have it when its over. Otherwise you dont need preseason

 

In the past when he could move around he was an above average player, even when he first came to Celtic he did fairly well, however rarely made a defense splitting pass, as an overall player I say Paul Lambert was a better player than Neill Lennon.
Why have I brought this up, well the main reason is the talk of Celtic fitness, Lennon is an incredibly slow player and in my opinion does only what he needs too to get by, he has to be replaced now!
Finess is NOT the crucial problem at Celtic Park at the moment its * ability, we just dont have enough mobile quality!

 

I am not too bothered about the future but i don't agree with us getting humped by teams way ahead of us in fitness just to keep the balance books healthy! How can games like this do anything for our Global image or broaden our fan base?

 

United did not play Moreno, our leading goalscorer; Perkins, our starting keeper; Carroll, one of our starting d-mids; and Namoff our starting rightback. You didn't bring your three World Cup players, it seemed only fair. Though our one World Cup player did play for about 60 min.

Actually this is wrong as he hasn't started regularly for us until this year and still isn't better than Moreno or Gomez...yet. He is a young talent with the brightest future, but he isn't our best player...yet.

Well hopefully this game will get you to start following your domestic league and DC United in addition to your Hoops. No reason to get too down on your team, it's only pre-season for you guys and we were fully fit and in the middle of a great run. Besides I remember watching the Bratislava game last year, and it turned out all right in the end in the SPL. Good luck to the Bhoys in the upcoming season, I will be rooting for them.

i hate the way strachan says,it was a fitness thing,once our fitness is up he will be better,thats horse horse *,there is nothing right about this team at all.what style of do we actually play? there is so much passing and no purpose,our inability to retain possession is just mind boggling,we will come up against far better oppostion this year.marshall as well sorry he has been living of the reputation of the nou camp for too long loan him out or something.

caldwell & ,mcmanus is not a partnership that is going to go anywere but i fear strachan thinks it will why else wuld he give mcmanus the armband.

 

As i've said before Wilson, McManus, Caldwell, Virgo, Pearson, Beattie, Riordan etc are not at the level some fans thought they were. Jarosik is unlikely to ever get involved in the unglamorous side of the game and if played with Naka we'd be in trouble. Our strikers are unable to keep the ball. Strachan has bought or introduced these guys to the first team so must carry the can.

 

Joe I am starting to agree with you, we are in deep * at the moment yes I know thats my comment, but your right a lot of Tic fans think some players are capable, when its OBVIOUS to quote Tosh McKinlay`s word, they are NOT capable!

 

Worrying times the league starts in 2 weeks and were are no were from playing like the average team we were last season imo

 

Furthermore, WGS claims we lacked stamina and fitness!! Is it not his job to get our players prepared? I also feel he is following John Barnes in trying to get us to play a style of football that we are not technically good enough to play, MoN may have his critics but he played to our strengths at least
