sammy lol goes missing too much, and still talk of him mibi leaving, just feel we need a number 1 striker, the rest not prolific enough

As things stand i dont think LB is a priority. We have du-ri, mulgrew, wilson and ledley (if required) for that position. Our main priorities imo are centre half and striker....we dont have any goalscorers on our books just now

We have Rassmussen who (in what he played) proved that he was a goal scorer imo. Still think another striker is needed tho but i am not optimistic about Mugrew being ou LB next year ?? :87:

we have hinkel and d-ri for full back positions as well. We may also have a mexican who can play rb or mid. Mulgrew, wilson and ledley can play LB.

Rassmusen yeah...he can score goals...not sure about his overall play yet tbh as we have hardly seen him for any decent spell. We must get a pacy smaller striker in imo

Last season we struggled for goals until RK arrived, we need a bit of quality up front, someone who knows how to find the back of the net...........:50:

Not for me. Mulgrew from what I've seen over the past couple of years shouldn't be starting for Celtic although I'd love to be proved wrong.

Du-Ri and Wilson are RB's, Ledley is a midfielder. What's been constantly undermining whoever plays left midfield for us for the past number of seasons is the fact that the left-back cannot cross and has been positionally unreliable.

Surely Ras should be classed as a goalscorer?

What im saying is he was plenty options for that position at the moment. Ledley is a midfielder but has played at LB when required. Du-Ri can play right or left back.

Yes Rass is a goalscorer but can he manage 90 mins? who knows what type of player he is as we have rarely seen him

That is also my point - I'm sick of signing crap left-backs and sick of shoe-horning good midfielders (or right backs) into the left-side.

When you have attacking full-backs they quite simply have to be correctly footed. The wrong-footed full-back is rarely seen now because their attacking ability is ruined and good wingers will go outside them every day of the week.

Isn't it about time we signed a good left-back?

Although we've not seen much of Ras, surely enough to base a decent opinion of. Also his scoring record at Brondby was pretty good. He's practically a new signing so needs a chance (although I admit another striker would be nice, I'd hardly consider it a priority).

    1) LB
    2) CB
    3) Creative attacking mid
    4) St

I hope so, I'm a really big fan. But like ever since he signed, I reckon S.Brown for some reason or another is undroppable. Not sure what managers constantly see in him but I guess I have to accept their judgement.

If Juarez signs I reckon it'll be a Brown/Juarez combo in a 4-4-2 with Ki backing up. Crosas will be worse than 5th choice, which again is sad, because I really rate him.

Maybe he could still be the creative force from the bench (Ki). Though it depends on whether there is one ST or two. If one, in whatever formation, you allow yourself the role of someone playing behind the striker. Brown is a different player to what i thought he was. I saw him as a goalscoring CM that gets beyond the forwards like Gerrard but he seems to be more about bustling, harrying and ball-winning- so is Juarez apparantley. Not sure if they would work together.

A striker is important now tho no doubt

Does no-one else believe that Mark Wilson should be given a chance at left-back? I recall Jackie Mac having his best years for us at left back with the wrong foot. Philip Lahm is probably best full back in world at the mo and he prefers playing on the 'opposite' side. I don't believe Wilson has ever had a proper crack, and whenever he's played left back, I've not seen much issue with his performances.

In 05/06 Wilson was good at LB. But there wasn't much challengers to him for his place and in terms of players he faced. He was up against very little, including a fairly poor Rangers team- at the time and remember it was only half a season.

He can't use his left foot and that will only take you so far, i remember him trying to pass down the line on the left side with his right foot- not the best. He could certainly do a job there against lesser teams, but Cha might be better

Thing with Lahm is he's very good with both feet (although prefers his right) which means like inverted wingers he actually cuts in from the left and attacks. He can only do this because of his amazing stamina (and positional sense).

Can't really see us converting an average right-back into a decent left-back. Why oh why can't we sign a left-footer.

Striker is a priority and so is a quality LB, a position that hasn't been properly filled for years !

I actually still rate Fox. I would have liked to have him around still - IMO he'll do very well in the championship and held his own in the EPL.
