No I wouldn't want McManus back.....and through no fault of his own. I think we actually ruined the lad by throwing him into the deep end too early in his career. He should have had a season or two working alongside a seasoned CB. He could in my opinion have been a really great CB with proper guidance.

We have already had this discussion at length, I am interested at the numbers that want him back it really does surprise me.

I agree he would be a better player beside Campbell than when caldwell was beside him, but I'd rather we brought someone else in e.g. Ramis if there is cash to strengthen that area of the team.

Loovens is not much better or worse than Mick, odea is still young as is Thompson and rounge with the latter showing early signs of turning into a top player as he reads the game superbly and his positioning is superb. Then there is hooiveld, who we have not seen in action but came with a good reputation and had won a player of the year award.

Campbell will be captain and first choice centre half if signed and it remains to be seen who will get the other place, for me that person wouldn't be mcmanus.

Watch out for the double/treble posting Pele.

    Nope.

He has no other redeeming qualities other than his fighting spirit. If we have been reduced to playing guys that will fight but can't pass a football then we are officially oot the game.

I thought I was the only one who wanted him back! Relieved now.

Man bleeds green and white, but his football skills aren't really something to be looked forward to when he's back.

As much as I thought he was decent at first I just think we need to get back to basics with the defence, i.e. back to the MON style, big, strong in the air and no shy from a tackle. Our defence has been a shambles since MON left and it has been down to having no big guys who can't dominate in the air. So McManus, thanks for the service but time to leave big chap.

    Good luck
