Joe I believe you are omitting the people that simply have NO faith in Balde in your post, and I am one of those that from near enough the git go, and I have never changed my mind watching his pathetic non fitba skill.

I'm well aware of your opinion Hubert, just as i'm aware of our record without the big man. If we had decent cover for him ok, but Caldwell, McManus and Virgo? Championship level.

why do we have to wait 'till pre season when the injury was there at the end of last season? I know they were hoping for the problem to solve itself over the close season but look where that thinking has now put us. If we are paying medical staff to look after these guys surely they should be proactive and no reactive.

Joe I think you are more or less indicating that Celtic have defense problems, and here I will certainly agree, in fact I believe it still has the elements of a sieve.
Now having said that apparently there is bickering or negotiating, LoL, going on about a left back Kadlec, whether it should be 2 million or 1.6 million, well here in lies the problem as I have seen it for long enough!
Lawwell, the board, and majority shareholder, realize Celtic are going to compete in the CL and in Europe this coming season, why are they once again penny pinching about eg., a left back, we dont have a natural left back, sure McNamara and Wilson did well there, but they are NOT left footed.
The way its going once again we will be also rans, and we wont even do as good as Rangers did last season in the CL.
Chances are the mentality of the powers that be at Celtic are planning for the future, for it sure as fukc isnt for the present, and I would like to know whos future and in what future? :87:

    Bobo injury blow Newsroom Staff

CELTIC will kick-off the 2006/2007 season without defender Bobo Balde.

The Guinean centre-half has been diagnosed with a muscle injury in his lower abdomen which, it is anticipated, will require surgery.

“Bobo is experiencing a lower abdominal muscle problem,” commented a club spokesperson.

“This has been a long-term problem for Bobo and the first course of action was a period of rehabilitation.

“However, the injury has not responded to this period of rehab.”

The spokesperson continued: “Bobo will see a specialist today (Thursday, June 29) and it is more than likely that surgery will be required. This surgery will be performed tomorrow.

“Bobo will be out for a number of weeks, but it is too early at this stage to give a specific timescale.”

Why do you follow Celtic? So we should pay over the odds for players because....? Its because of thinking like yours that Celtic almost went bankrupt. Rangers won nothing last season, we won the league and CIS Cup after releasing 1/3 of the first team. Your ignorance to how a football club operates is completely laughable

GS will have to pick his defensive partnership soon, so they can play all the pre-season friendlies together and learn some each other games before a very difficult start to the season.

So we don't get caught cold like last season.

No we nearly went bust because of greedy directors who sold our best players and failed to invest in the future. Are you old enough to remember?

I'm hoping Kennedy will be back at 100% and i think Calwell could surprise people but i think a signing should be made because u never know wen a freak injury could occur.
I still think we got the wrong Bobo back from the 1st time he went to the African Nations. Still i like the Big Guy and wish him a speedy recovery. We need competition for places in the squad. It raises the players games.

Dempseys right ,would you pay way over the Odds for a Car you know is Worth FAR less on paper than the seller has it up for ????? I think NOT .This is exactly what the board is trying to do ,Not pay over the odds for a player ...If you meet the asking price that is a sure way of going Bankrupt in the long run !!

I sure as * dont know what you two guys are on about, what the fukc is over the odds, some imaginary amount that Lawwell who is NOT a fitba man determines.
Listen apologists, Celtic will struggle this season, because of the prudent frugal negative dont go over the odds, powers that be! :56:
Yes I am laughing, why because its better than greetin! :87:
