doubt it by the looks of things were skint and are looking at freebies, although some are decent i am not getting my hopes up after hearing the words from lennon today there will not be wholesale changes, this tells me he is getting next to * all to spend

i think we need someone up front with pace because i think rasmussen has got plenty of goals in him if we can get someone to do the running for him

 

from the signings we've made so far i certainly cant see a big name striker been signed for us, think were taking the cheap option yet again, not that it surprises me with our penny pinching board.

I don't really care whether we get a "big name" striker as long as he's quality. It's true the transfer window just opened so it's hard to say what will happen. Perhaps Lenny is taking advantage of these cheap deal signings to sign a big name but who knows at this point. It's truly early to speculate too much, but considering the board I understand the scepticism..

 

Where do you suggest the cash comes from then?

Well if you think they are going to sign a permanent deal such as a 6-10 million pound striker and pay those big wages, thats your business but i suspect you will be the one who is disappointed. It's early days yet but i wouldn't put my house on it. feel free to put yours on it tho

 

to be honest most of our big money buys lately have been pish -broon,gravesen fortune etc big names are no guarantee of success thats why am sceptical of sol campbell and bullard-people sometimes come north thinking it will be a walk in the park-maybe we should go for hungry younger guys looking to prove themselves

 

imo lenny wants campbell and bullard as much for their experience as their ability. we need old heads with clever footballing brains at the moment. ideally we want a mixture of youth and experience. i think we were found wanting in the experience dept last season.
