I remember going to Rapid Vienna v celtic at manchester, just as we were lining up at turnstiles my brother in law got his ticket torn out of his hand,(silly * was holding it where evryone could see it) i felt totally dstraught for him, so just as we got to gate, i gave him mine and jumped over the turnstyle, right behind him, probably could not do that now,.:bbpd:

No I've always paid, but would have no problem with sneaking in :celt_2:

I've gave the club money over the years, I've not got a season ticket for the last 2-3 seasons though due to not working, and only working part time when I did. But if someone said to me 'get on the supporters bus, I know a way you can sneak in' I'm not going to turn around and say 'Nah your alright!' I would go to support my team.

And then obviously when I make a bit money again I will get my ST back.

    * being a student! :87:

Done everything to get into games when I was young. Started going to games when was 6/7.In the 60/70/80s nearly all the kids got lifted over the turnstyles. As you got a bit older and too big to get lifted over you started doubling up,crawling under, taking a runny and jumping over the turnstiles.
Even climbed over the wall at Hampden with a few mates in the middle of the night and hid in the stadium before a cup final against the huns
Agree with it or not many thousands did it back then and it was part of being a fan as it wasnt exclusive to tims.
I would say it all changed when the terracings went and electronic turnstiles etc emerged
Yes, ther are guys who sneak in today, mainly at away games, and because they cant get tickets for certain games.
I was lucky enough to have aticket for seville, but let me tell you.out of the 100,000 fans who went, there wouldnt be many who wouldnt/didnt try to get in without a ticket, regardless of age

I got into the Celtic end for the CL last 16 match against Milan at the San Siro with a ticket for the home end.

Also, years ago up at Tannadice a guy asked me if he could get in with me - I was only 16 at the time and just agreed even though I didn't know what he meant. Once the steward gave me my ticket back the guy jumped in the turnstile with me. The steward jammed it and wouldn't let us through so we were both stuck while he shouted for the polis. We were both pushing and eventually it gave way, we flew through and the bhoy did a bolt leaving me with my ticket to prove I was in legally.

Big Pierre put us one up before Peter Grant was sent off then (I think) Andy McLaren equalised for them with a couple of minutes to go. Totally gutted until Malky Mackay scored in stopage time for a 2-1 win. Some atmosphere after the game and on the way out and I saw the guy that came in with me. Happy Days.

As a young boy the lift o'er was part of the tradition. Celtic knew about it and did nothing to stop it because they knew in years to come the kids would be back paying money, buying season tickets etc.

The only times I've not paid as an * were when without a ticket for Ibrox I used to have a mate who worked as a main steward there who would get me in pretending to be a steward also. Then as soon as the gates opened I'd tell a supervisor I wasn't feeling well and vanish into our end.

Was just coming on to post about this exact story.

    That young lad was me!

The guy had actually approached me outside the ground and asked if he could come in at the back of me. I'm easy going so I obliged. In we get to the turnstile bit I hand over my ticket and the very second the turnstile starts to open the guy pushes me and makes one * of a run for it.

I went for a Killie pie and then on my way up the stairs I see the guy getting dragged out by two polis. I'm sure there's a moral to this story somewhere :celt_2:

Never "sneaked" into a Celtic game myself, well not that I can remember. May have been snuck in as a nipper years and years ago by my auld man, can't really remember though. If folk want to chance their arm then that's up to them, as long as they're prepared to take this risk and face the consequences if it goes * up.

I voted based on the fact that I sometimes sneak into baseball games

I sneaked in most games I went to when I was younger, all away matches and also the Cup final we had at Ibrox all with my dad, I only ever got caught once at Ibrox when I was about 7 and got put back out and because I was greetin a guy gave me a ticket and I went back in, just as I went in my da came back out to get me but I went back out to get him as he was shouting on me, we just chapped the door and got allowed back in. There was a time probably 2000-2004 where my das pal worked at Ibrox and sneaked us in to all the games through a door if we never had a ticket my da just wore a high vis jacket that he got off the guy and I walked in with him, people would just have thought I was lost or somethin lol and then he went into the toilets and took it off.

Really only away games ive sneaked in, another one was Shearers testimonial. My da had a ticket and I had to sneak in but I kept getting caught, eventually got in when all the fans barged the big door in then my da came in and got me lol

Havent sneaked into a game in years now though. Was probably about 12 last time I did.

Before I got my own season ticket in 1998 too I went to the games and sneaked in with my da with his season ticket.

EDIT last time I know of anyone that sneaked into a game it was my da and 2 of his pals, they sneaked in at the Nou Camp but had to pay £50 each :56:they drove in, in a season ticket holders motor, first time I know of sneaking in but paying to sneak in.
